It might offer evidence as to one's rational state of mind: if one is able to coherently and calmly state the reasons why and then pull the trigger without hesitation or showing great emotion or fear it should be clear enough you weren't distressed at the moment of death.

I like this line of reasoning, there aren't as many live suicides that have someone explaining their reasoning before either hanging, shooting, jumping, or w/e method they choose to go out with. However, I have seen videos of people shooting themselves, jumping, or hanging (gore sites and what not); it's just that they didn't talk much or explain their reasoning before going through with their attempt.

I get the idea people's choice depends on what they think of who'll view it. So what you think of society too. But there are certainly good and bad people. Bad people I don't give a fuck about, the good people I do. So I don't care what the cunts make of what I do, I'm just going to try to get the balance right for myself and those I care about. Suicide in general is hard enough without having to perform at the same time. It would probably be better to record the reasons and messages to one's loved-ones seperately. Imo it would probably just cause more distress and grief for the survivors to record the actual death but to each his own.

The people you saw kill themselves were probably too distressed and killed themselves in a fit of despair. Hardly what I would call rational suicide.

No, I would like to leave a note. I don't want anyone to see that or for myself personally have any reason to record it and for those close to me it would just hurt and I wouldn't want strangers to view it.

I wouldn't do it because I feel my death is personal and I would want it to be private. However I find it very bold for someone to do it and I often like the message behind it. Anyone knows about the suicide of the TV journalist Christine Chubbuck. She suicided by a gunshot on a live television broadcast. Her last words were: "In keeping with Channel 40's policy of bringing you the latest in 'blood and guts' and in living color, you are going to see another first attempted suicide."

I actually very much would like to doa goodbye video. Im not sure if I would ctb on cam or not, but it seems impossible to live stream from anywhere cause Im sure the police coulg ping my phone & find me. Afterall, Ill be dead.. so I wont give a fuck about being a spectacle.

Maybe I would. Since no one knows what Complex Regional Pain Syndrome is, it would definitely bring awareness to the condition. Since it is known as the suicide disease after all, since it's the highest ranking pain condition in medical history, and since doctors have never heard of it. I think a bunch of people who have my disease should get together maybe in the middle of times square and just blow our brains out in front of TV news cameras and say why we're doing it.

I think it's a very personal and intimate moment and i would want to keep it as private and hidden as possible.
Not to mention that, from my perspective, suicide is a moment of loss and failure. Taking my own life will be my ultimate failure, the climax of a life full of wrongdoings, mishaps and defeats.
Just as you don't like people watching when you lose a game or a competition or when you trip over and fall while on a public space i wouldn't want people seeing my departure.

As someone who works in film/video and owns a decent amount of equipment this has always interested me. I would definitely want to take the time to craft some sort of filmed record of my last day. I'm not sure what the platform or audience would be, but I would want it to be out in the public eye somewhere.
That's just my personal taste though, I can totally see why the average person may not be into that sort of thing.
