I think from far away I look decent since I'm tall and have a baby face. On the other hand, I'm also noticeably over weight and closer inspection would reveal the cracks and flaws in my appearance. The people around me try to say I'm not that bad looking or can clean up nicely but I really can't see it. Even if that were true, I'm still ugly on the inside, definitely even more so.

Lately I don't have an urge to focus too much on my appearance. I still try to look professional for my jobs, but I don't try to look as nice as I used to. That's mainly due to pain and lack of motivation. My body dysmorphia over the years often plays tricks on me. So I can't give an accurate answer as to how I think of myself because it's constantly changing. It's awful. I wish I felt more motivated to try to look nicer though.

Personally, I would say im average. I get some attention, but no use when your mind is so destroyed...

At the moment I am average. But when I was younger I catched lot of attention from girls. When I was a kid I was very very beautiful, to the point that some people told to my mom to show me on tv.

In the 1990s I was the ideal prototype and I was still very beautiful.

But today... average.

Ha this is a funny question for ss. I get told I am. I'm not sure. I notice I dislike getting older and suspect my low self esteem is too used to the meaningless praise. two comments on looks in women, first, if you're lacking in confidence but used to receiving attention and praise for your looks, this can cause some shift in sense of self as you reach middle age. Secondly, on the other hand some of the attention women receive for looks can be harmful eg assault or attracting predatory people

I have Anorexia and body dysmorphia which makes me feel ugly a lot of the time but I know logically that I am very attractive, my job depends on it(I'm an exotic dancer) and I always get a LOT of attention from men/stared at on the street/cat called etc.

I have such an unhealthy relationship with my appearance. I was obese growing up and then after puberty was really cute. I had one year of feeling good about myself and having healthy self esteem. Then I ended up at a racist high school and was told I was ugly every single day. By the time I graduated I was convinced I was the ugliest person alive and had zero self esteem. I ended up getting a cosmetic procedure done which actually made me less attractive and ever since then I actually consider myself ugly. It's sad because when I look back at photos I was beautiful and had no idea. I've been trying really hard to be happy and content with my looks. I also make an effort to not treat people differently just because of their looks and never comment on them. Even the most beautiful people in the world get older and less attractive so its pointless to put too much value on it.

Yes, I've been told that I'm good looking. Not the best on the room but can stand my ground. Apart from that I'm pretty intelligent, or at least I was. And financially stable with some luxuries. Despite all of that still suicidal. Depression can really hit anyone and the fact that in feeling this way even with all of those things makes me feel worse.

So far your research shows the vast majority are financially struggling and their look is below average.
I wonder if you use this information for any type of research or just personal curiosity

For me there's a surprising amount of lookers here but I guess I shouldn't be surprised 'cause depression is depression. It really sucks to be unattractive though. I used to be more bothered in my 20s but now not so much but all the rejections have scarred me pretty bad, so to speak.
