Would NATO accept WW3 for defending Romania or Baltic states?

I have doubts whether Trump would do that. I am uncertain how Merz, Macron, Meloni, Starmers would decide. Personally, I think there are probably red lines if they are crossed there is a need for a strong reaction. And Putin will test how far he can go. Ukraine seems to have a strong hand currently. I could imagine Russia thinks about using nukes or to attack other European countries in revenge.

If the NATO alliance doesn't respond to an invasion of a NATO country the alliance will be gone. The situation for Europeans could become even way worse. I am not sure whether we are close to rock bottom.

Macron brought the idea to put other EU countries under french nuke protection and i think that would be beneficial for everyone if there was sovereign EU nuke protection on countries that are really exposed like Romania. (UK can do this aswell but they aren't yet EU, yet, again)

NATO isn't only the US even though it would be foolish to say they aren't a huge part of it.

EU countries like Germany/France are rearming themselves to be more independant from the influence of the US.

Maybe i'm an idiot to think that way but i do think that NATO would intervene if Romania/baltics states were attacked.

We saw what happened when you turn a blind eye to a tyrannical expansive force.

You are just waiting for your turn to come and i do believe history won't repeat itself on that point.
