• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

If i ctb by drowning in the sea, for example, do you think it would be too painful for my family to not have a body? Even if it meant that they would not know it was intentional? I don't know what would be more painful: knowing it was suicide or not having a body. I'm struggling in choosing my ctb method because of that.

Honestly I think closure would be better. I.e. knowing it was suicide and what happened to you. Not knowing would also not allow them to grieve you. This is just my opinion. I hope you come to peace with whatever you decide to do šŸ¤

If you don't leave a body, there will always be this tiny shred of hope in them that you're still alive. As irrational as they know it is, they'll never give up hoping.

They'll spend their entire lives wanting closure.

On one hand no body is a plus because they do not need to bear witness to your lifeless and possibly damaged form.

On the other hand no body is a beacon of hope that you're "still out there." But this might be counteracted with sufficient notes, witnesses etc.

Yeah a few years ago a guy from my area got a taxi to some sea cliffs an is thought to have ctb, body never found, his mother still posts every year hoping someone has more info or that he will turn up alive, no closure for family is tough.
