would 2 tsp of Sn be enough? i'm not sure how else to measure it. i have a scale but i have 2 pounds of it and measuring it might get messy and i don't wanna mess around with such a toxic substance.

according to wolframalpha, 2 tsp of SN would be 21.4 grams.

measuring by volume can be inaccurate tho. personally i'd measure carefully with a scale.

I don't understand. If you have a scale to precisely measure the 25g which is recommended to ctb, why would you want to "guesstimate" an the proper amount using a spoon? Putting some SN onto a little paper "boat" you can fold up yourself from any small piece of paper, and then place it on your scale, is too much trouble?????? 😕

Just set a cup on the scale or a cap press take and then pour the SN into it until it's the proper amount.

Two teaspoons wouldn't be 21 grams.

You can check the working and see it uses the nominal density of 2.168 g/cm^3 which I'm pretty sure is if it's a single crystal. You run into a similar thing if you try to find the density of table salt vs. sodium chloride.

Here's a post where someone has actually measured out a tablespoon of SN to be 16g. Not saying that makes it the right number. Also note they say they're using a US tablespoon multiple times but their measuring spoon is marked 15 mL (metric tablespoon), didn't catch that when I wrote about this before. Not sure what's going on there.

If you assumed 2 (US, as WolframAlpha used) teaspoon was 21.4 g but it was really that 1 (US) tablespoon was 16 g then you'd have 10.81 g.

That sounds like a very good idea! Wish I'd thought of it!

I used 4 actual US measuring teaspoon (I think they said there were labeled 5ml)
I made mine flat and not tightly packed.
So I was somewhere between 20 and 25mg.i didn't get all scientific with a scale. Ball park is good enough for me.

It was enough for the 50ml of water. Turned it yellow tinge.
It was enough with just a sip to turn my body grey//blue and blood O2 to drop to 80% fairly quickly. I just don't k ow how long it would have lasted if untreated

2 teaspoon might be enough to do some damage, if took it all.. Or maybe even finish it. But It might take longer and not be what is expeced. It doesn't take much SN to end life, but depends on person and there are cases that go different ways.
why did your plan fail?

This gets posted a lot without context. This seems to be the source of it. It uses 1 tablespoon = 18.5 g as an assumption.

Anyone planning to use this for dosage should be aware it uses a very particular methodology and other assumptions. Not saying it won't be accurate or effective, I just imagine you'd want to at least be aware of the methodology and assumptions if you do want to use it.

It didn't really fail. I wasn't planning to ctb.
I got the data I needed, and know what I would do if it gets bad enough to do the full gambit
Kind of just happened after tasting it to see how salty it would be when I was ready for it, and to see if it could sit all day in a warm vehicle and still be a good mixture.

It took action very quickly, so I went home to lie down and sleep it off. I Was called to come see something and I didn't realize how low my blood ox was and it caused me to fall when trying to walk and couldn't stand up.

Then they saw my color and it was in from there.

This is what I roughly used. And cut it a little less. I'd rather keep down a little less (but enough), than puke up of "too much", was my reasoning.
You ended up in the hospital I'm assuming?

Oh yes. Wasn't bad though. I was fortunate enough to not go to the ward. They had never seen this before so it was interesting. I learned a lot.

I'm not sure if you're expecting a reply, I don't have anything more to add, sorry. My point was, if someone gets to a certain number using that table, they should understand how the author of that table got those numbers in the first place and make sure they agree to some extent with how the author got there.

As always please do everything you can to make sure what you're doing is right for you.

If I'm understanding your reply correctly, maybe it was easy to miss that one of the words in my other reply was a link? Here's a link to the source of the table in full: https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/sn-water-amount-lookup-table-v2.32241/
