Does anyone know if this tank of helium is enough for me to CTB? The box says 100% helium, but from what I understand, some tanks are filled with 20% oxygen? Will this inhert gas be enough to get the job done? I plan on purchasing it from a store in Manitoba, Canada, unopened.

UPDATE: I contacted the company via their website, they have told me their "disposable tanks are 98% pure helium and not mixed with air."

But, I read somewhere that these kinds of tanks need at least 99% pure helium, so I am I out of luck with this product? Or is that 99% comment rubbish info?

Also, will this be enough helium to get the job done?

IF they are really 100% helium then it will do. If they are contaminated despite manufacturer's declaration - they won't. Easy to test - play chipmunk for a few breaths using only this. If it's good stuff, you'll feel dizzy very quickly. If it's contaminated, you'll breathe normally without side effects, except sounding funny.

This is helpful, thank you so much! And potentially good news for my method!

It's write 100 per cent helium.. I dont get why before cbt with these was sucessful and now not.. I get that they put oxygen to avoid sucide but this one is 100 per cent helium.. its just so complicated to cbt my god…
Im thinking of trying with just a plastic bag over my head.. i try it before and it was so intense i just finish by remove the bag, maybe if i try harder it would do it ?

What about the fact that there is no regulator, so the tank will be empty pretty fast ..

They put oxygen to avoid responsibility. They don't give a fuck about suicidal ones. People love to play with these, changing their voice but, with pure helium, you get strong chance of losing consciousness and having an accident. That might result with company facing a lawsuit because they didn't place sufficient warnings on those. Same thing as with "do not drink" labels on bleach or other household chemicals. So, instead of plastering warning signs all over the bottle, they started adding sufficient amount of oxygen. Balloons still fly, people still sound funny but nobody collapses or dies.

That's correct. These are low pressure tanks and they do not need additional regulator. Setups that utilized those usually contained several tanks connected to a single pipe. At least those that were made public.
I need answer pls, i have to cbt real soon
CTB should not be rushed. If you are under any form pressure to CTB that means your decision might not be entirely your own. Please reconsider. It is not sth you "have to" do. It's your choice, not your obligation.

I would be very surprised if the box wasn't lying. There's no reason for helium intended to inflate balloons to be pure. I mean, we'd like it to be for our purposes, but there's no reason for the company to be potentially liable/sued when they can mix with oxygen and prevent it + diluting the helium means they increase their profit at the same time since oxygen is easier to obtain than helium.

OP here. I haven't tried it because I asked the manufacturer this question and received the answer below:
Can you tell me what the other 2% is, if 98% of the tank is pure helium?

Our disposable tanks are 98% pure helium and is not mixed with air. The other 2% is the remaining space of Air in the tank- however this air is not mixed in with the helium.

I was planning ctb with nitrogen, but I have read a case where a man made a involuntary movement and god disconnected from the gas, and he eded up with serious injuries...
P.D You need a regulator.. It's very important you make sure there's enough helium for 45 minutes and using a regulator. If the process gets interrupted, you can end up with serious injuries...

This is what I'm worried about. Surviving the attempt and coming out of it worse.
