Will the world develop for the worse or the better?

For my personal life i am pretty sure things will get way worse. I have so many problems i do not know an answer for. But I somehow have a naive hope that new technologies and a better welfare state can save my ass. To be rational this is quite unlikely but i need something to cling to. The environment will get way worse. But in my country there is the chance that assisted suicide is available soon. If we compare the world to the past (20 years ago) i can see some progress. We would not even have the internet to share our agony. However the governments become better and better to regulate stuff like SN or N.
If I could choose to live 1980, 2000 or 2021 i would go for 2021. Nevertheless the times when barbiturates were easily to buy must have been good for suicidal people. But still you need the knowledge.

I think technlogy will become even more amazing and humans will be able to visit and colonize other planets but the same technology will end up destroying them.

Look at it this way: people walk around with a computer all the time. They even go to the toilet with it! Yes, I'm talking about cellphones! We're really addicted to them! Now, imagine something harder, better, faster and stronger! (ok, I love Daft Punk haha)

Anyway, if we don't ctb and live around 40 more years, we will probably see humans reaching Mars! That will be certainly interesting!

I am an internet addict. Cannot life without it. It eases my pain and gives me information how to end it if pain is still unbearable.

I am hoping new technologies will ease my pain further but i probably won't have enough money to buy them. :(

It's very likely that it'll turn worse and worse, but I still remain hopeful that something can be done after it peaks and people turn to a movement that protects themselves and the world itself, probably a new technology that we still can't even picture or something will start this process.

I think that the state of our species will (generally) improve over time just as it has done in the past and continues to do in the present - just look at the advances in electronics for example. However: with each new milestone that brings positive change, it will also bring foward new problems too.

As much as I love space there's no economical incentive to colonise it. We're not short on anything found in space. everything we're short on is only found on Earth.

Maybe some rich guys wills put down a summer house on Mars or something, but besides that, there's nothing to do there.

Maybe Friday will be worse than today, but 2037 will likely be better.

Okay, this is gonna sound insane to some, but please don't freak out at me lol I just want to share.

Look into Agenda 21/Agenda 30. It was decided in 1992 (after the completion of Biosphere 2 in 1991), and is a sort of new world order that's been slowly playing out just as they want. It's under the guise of "sustainable development", but is more about mass surveillance and complete order. You could call it a sort of "utopia", but I don't think it's that simple or kosher. Part of what we're seeing today is all the smart technology installed in people's houses, big cities becoming more dense, rights slowly being dissolved, etc.

Technological advancements will be introduced, which will be awesome, however, the technology isn't really for us. It's to distract us, as much as it is for data collection, surveillance and individual manipulation. We're basically creating a brain, or dare I say a god; the ultimate AI. All-knowing. Things might get pretty bizarre.

I won't go too far into it all, but whether you could call it "good" or "bad" really leans on you're stance with free will. If you're okay with going along with everything, maybe it won't be too horrible for a little while.
