I didn't ask to be born. I didn't agree to this. And yet I'm the one stuck dealing with the pain, the pressure, the bullshit. Someone else decided to bring me into this world — and I'm the one who has to suffer through it?

What kind of sick system is that? You're dragged into existence without consent, thrown into a broken world, expected to "make the best of it," and if you dare to question it — you're the problem. You're ungrateful. You're "negative." No. I'm real.

This isn't a gift. It's a burden. A life sentence without a crime. I didn't ask for the trauma. I didn't ask for the anxiety, the depression, the endless grind just to survive. I didn't ask to play this game where the rules were written before I got here — by people who won't even admit how messed up it is.

And you know what? I'm tired of pretending it's okay. Tired of being told to "find meaning" in a mess I never chose. Maybe some people can cope by lying to themselves — but I won't.

Stop calling it a miracle. It's a trap.
So if you feel the same — like you're carrying the weight of a choice you never made — you're not alone. And you're not crazy. This world is.

there are so many good things about the world, but so many bad things. i wish people accepted the fact that certain individuals don't want to continue to suffer, that this was a world where people wouldn't be judged for the decisions to end their suffering.

you really write what im thinking too. i would still "lie" to myself as long as i can live just a little bit longer, if i don't then i definitely commit and i don't have any resource and that will only result in failure. i don't know how much longer i can lie, i had an attempt to end my life when i was a teenager, it failed and ppl said i should be grateful that i failed.
i really wish assisted suicide is easy to access and legal

I feel this 1000%

Will never forgive my parents

Think of every single soul that is currently alive and rotting inside a prison cell right now. They are suffering because their parents brought them here

Same for all the people currently sick in hospitals, homeless on the streets, every member on this forum, every person grinding at their jobs at this very moment.....

We're all stuck in this hell, "thanks" to our parents

Absolutely. Every bit of suffering we experience traces back to the fact that we were brought here without consent. Parents gamble with lives they don't have to live, and we're the ones paying the price for it.

I agree too. No parent gets permission from their children before they are born. I of course understand that this is not possible either, and if you decide not to have kids, the entire human race will die out. Still, I have not had kids for this reason.

I hate how we are forced to work to afford necessities to survive

It's a job. Just existing comes with a bill: food, water, shelter, healthcare, all locked behind a paywall.
And we have to do this for like 50 years it like we are having to pay the price for someone else decision to bring us here

Life comes with a subscription fee you never agreed to. You didn't sign up, didn't consent, didn't choose this—yet you're expected to grind for decades just to afford the basics that should've been a given from the start. Food, shelter, clean water, rest, safety—those should be human rights, not rewards for labor.

And yeah, 50+ years of this just to maybe retire and get a handful of years where you're finally allowed to slow down… assuming your health holds up and the system doesn't screw you over again. It's not even living, it's surviving on a treadmill that never stops unless you fall off.

It's not life—it's a contract we never signed, a sentence we're forced to serve. Being born into this system feels like inheriting a debt that can only be paid with your time, energy, and sanity. And the worst part? There's no real escape unless you either win the lottery or opt out of society entirely, both of which come with their own consequences.

It's like you're born, and before you can even speak, the meter starts running. You grow up just to be trained to work, not to live meaningfully or freely. Then you spend your most energetic years laboring so that you might get a tiny window of rest at the end… if you're lucky.

Do you ever find yourself wondering what it'd be like if we were just allowed to exist without proving our worth every day

And even today, many people only have children to ensure that they will have someone to care for them when they are old. Like long-term servants. As if you owe them something for being in this world. And they will have the nerve to call you ungrateful. Sick people.

Yup I ask myself this practically everyday. What a parent wants trumps everything else unfortunately. Saying you didn't ask to be born has always been taboo. Parents don't want their kids saying this sort of stuff and losing their control over them. We're supposed to be good little mini-me clones. Parents HATE being questioned on their actions and will always minimise the suffering they've caused to their children.

I feel like antinatalism is very much growing though and people are questioning this more, that's why parents hate antinatalism so much. Any excuse to call it dumb or twist it into something it's not by calling us misanthropists or whatever because they can't deny the logic in it. How can you be a misanthropist for not wanting people to suffer?! That's parents.

Long-term servants is the correct word

But at least servants get paid by those they serve

In our situation??? The fucking opposite. We need to serve them, yet got to pay for our own existence for 50+ years

Then if we feel something is wrong, it then also becomes OUR fault

What fucking logic is this????? Legalized torture????

Fuck this society for glamorizing having children. We come here just to mainly pay taxes and die

Even dying ain't truly free in this hell

Seriously it's ridiculous. Some have kids that they don't really want, just to immediately turn them into cute accessories then neglect the fuck out them until they are old enough to boss the kids around into doing whatever they want (aka legal slavery). Kick their kids to the curb & throw them to the wolves when they turn 18 . Tell them to suck it up. Then demand the kid take care of them before they die .

You're absolutely right. We didn't ask to be here. We don't owe the people who brought us into this world anything, yet more often than not, we are made to feel like we do. Super messed up. Better to not be born at all tbh
