I think it's the SI that makes people irrationally fear death. It's that for me, but I am working on controlling it better.

For people who aren't suicidal; the reasons vary.

Because if you fail, a lot of the time it will be horribly worse in every aspect of life.

Fear of death is not equal SI

I was talking about fear of death not SI.
The problem is my brain automatically thinks of nothingness. A nothingness confuses me.

But I believe if someone has real medical or psychological suffering, SI and fear automatically go away.

Extreme impulsivity can also do its job.

On longterm no. Currently too strong, but cant stand this too long. Its a slow process you understand?

Hardly, I cant live the rest of my life depressed, that too exhausting.

In my case my fear of death is getting away. The idea of death is more and more relieving.

Yes we all do die. Death is taboo amongst many people, even though its intrinsically part of life. I accept my own death through illness or ctb. Its simlply binary...1 or 2. .its going to happen no matter what. Therefore i dont fear letting go of life. Si fear ?. There is nothing for me to survive!.

I fear dying a little bit, hopefully the nitrogen method will be like fainting, I almost fainted once and it wasn't that bad. But I don't fear death, it's mutually exclusive with me.
