We all heard stories about someone injured or sick but they had a strong will to live, so they survived the injury or sickness. But why doesn't the opposite happen? My mind has given up, every night I wish it was my last day, but my motherfucking body keeps going automatically.

Psychogenic death is a thing, but the circumstances leading to it need to be terrible. Maybe we are not quite there yet, or we are much more resilient than we give ourselves credit for.

I've always described myself as the "indomitable human spirit fighting interpersonally with a mind that may not even be in control of itself" I feel like I'm not my body mind or spirit just an unconsenting passenger

evolution has made our body resiliant as fuck . though extreme cases definitely leads to ones demise .
