Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

This av makes me laugh and feels forum appropriate. It's from a scene in Gunslinger Girls where one of the main girls goes to the range before she's fully familiar with her weapon/s or gun safety or anything.
So why did you choose your avatar? Or not if you haven't.
I can't recall choosing mine, not sure why, but I guess because I have wanted to CTB from a very young age so the shoe fits. I hope the kid is happy and healthy.
Oh if you have an anime pic don't bother responding - weebs get out! :-P Joke lol. I am struck by the large number of anime avatars on here; age gap thing for sure.
Looked up a cartoon crocodile to represent my username "croctears". People shed tears once youre gone but dont truly try to understand your pain while you're here; hence croctears.
My profile pic is of a character(?? more like a metaphor?) from the series Paranoia Agent by my favorite director Kon Satoshi! The series meditates on how we repress and otherwise unhealthily cope with trauma. There's an episode in there that plays homage to old-school Japanese suicide message boards too so I thought it would be a thematically appropriate anime avatar hehe

That's Wally Gator -- from the famed cartoon team Hanna-Barbera. Saturday mornings in the US. Read the Wikipedia page. Beneath the comedy joy, he was a metaphor for some pretty intense psycho-social issues.
I'm an English major and my avatar is Vortigern which translates to "Overlord" or "Great King". Somehow, the knowledge of it makes me feel a little bit in control.
I like bright and vibrant colours. I also like nature and bees are the cutest among insects.
I used to have a gloomy avatar. A look up to a cold night's sky, empty of stars, seen from the bottom of a rocky well.
But the avatar was too blue—cold and lonely—for my personality.
Idk, it's my avatar on chess.com and nowhere else so people won't recognize it in any way. And I find it amusing playing blitz and bullet with slowpoke as my avatar.

I chose a detail of my favorite painting. The Garden of Death by the Finnish symbolist painter Hugo Simberg, 1906. I'm fond of plants and I enjoy the depiction of death carefully tending to plants. If I recall accurately, the artist described it as an idea of an afterlife where we are the plants that death is tenderly looking after. Not that I take it literally, but it's a delightful concept.
Plants are one of my joys in life. I love seeing a new leaf sprout and flowers bloom. Sometimes I recall this painting when taking care of them.
It's Kana from Touhou 3, my favorite Touhou game! ^_^ I haven't used this pfp on any other site, and the road sign with the arrow points toward where I'll be going when I'm gone! :) hehe~
It's from the video game Gris, which is a metaphor for grief. I did it because it was mildly death related but honestly I just think it's a very beautiful looking game. Unfortunately behind a paywall, but they have to make their money somehow.
