Why are ceiling fans in india so good?

Watched a few videos of people doing hanging and there were three or four Indians doing it with some light blanket or scarf on a ceiling fan with full suspension by jumping or dropping into it... and the ceiling fans actually managed to hold that weight. And this in some dirty 2nd world home.
I am in Austria and i doubt that any ceiling fan here would withstand an adult man jumping into it.
