I lived in Japan for 2 years and found that most of the friends I made liked to be hugged. Could be because I'm a woman and they were too, though. Only think I got to hug a Japanese guy once...
Anyway, I'm glad you're able to appreciate the wonderful exchange of affection we call hugs despite your ancestry. I read your thread about your thoughts on this topic, btw. Made me happy to see someone else caring so much about hugs as I do.
