Which knot is better for hanging?

I have seen people use both. Are there upsides/downsides to either? From what I can tell by wrapping them around my wrist and pulling they both seem to constrict in a similar manner.

The first one is used for drop hanging. You need the simple noose.

Not quite sure yet honestly. I'm going to experiment with partial to make sure the pressure is in the right place and I don't suffer unnecessarily, but I might do full when I actually go for it to deal with SI.

Why did you choose this over other methods

My first choice would be firearms, however in Canada to get a gun you need two references who you have known for 3 years or more to tell a federal police officer that you have no history of mental illness. I have friends who I have known this long, but I do not think they would testify to that as they know I am suicidal.

Nembutal is also high on my list but out of the question as I cannot travel to Latin America to obtain it.

Oral OD is generally unreliable.

Thought about CO poisoning but getting a high-quality meter is extremely expensive and I could not afford it. Also scared that having coals in my car would damage it or the fact I died in it would make it difficult to sell after I die.

I don't know how to get SN, and even if I did I don't have access to antiemetics as a failsafe. Also want something quicker, and from what I understand SN is slow compared to many other things. I think sitting around nervously for it to take effect would be very difficult for me.

That leaves me with hanging. I've read that if done well it could be somewhat peaceful and you can pass out in 10-15 seconds, so I'm not against it. I used to be much more picky and refuse anything that involved pain for more than a second, but I'm starting to realize that a painless, peaceful death is practically unobtainable for most.

There are people who have hanged themselves in a few minutes using everything. I think we should try with various types. The important thing is that it holds the weight and it will still kill you, but you have to feel that it is comfortable.
