It depends where you live. Expensive living areas are safer. Some areas are not so safe at night.

There are lots of news in media but the Swedish police must be politically correct in their words about it.

It's not worse than in any other place. In other words, common sense rules (never walk through a dark alley at night etc.)

Never walk drunk (or sober) alone at night or at dark in any country where there isn't people and lights like near pubs etc. is my advice to girls and women. Use taxi to go home or go with friends.

Nights are for sleeping anyways if you don't go to a pub or party. .;)

I was pointing to the fact that it has gotten the nickname of being rape capital of world, EU or West in many news and media in many countries. There is more rapes in parts of Africa at least.

Those news has been based on UNODC's and other data.

Of course rape goes often unreported in countries where victims get shamed and blamed and can be even punished by death when reporting it. So the data from certain countries won't match the reality. In every country many go unreported because victims are scared to get shamed and blamed and relive the trauma in court.

For example "In 2012, according to the report by UNODC, Sweden was quoted as having 66.5 cases of reported rapes per 100,000 population,[35] based on official statistics by Brå.[36] This is the highest number of reported rape of any nation in the report."

Sorry, if this discussion is going off-topic. I am allergic to scaremongering so i felt the need to respond…
So you didn't read the article on the website that i posted? Statistics are just statistics and have to be put in a context, which the article did.
Since those have already been debunked, there really isnt anything to argue about right?
