We didn't used to have them... I think it is dicey enough doing those military flyovers for sporting events... but they are relatively benign and are more about recruitment for the military than showing strength or whatever.
I see military parades and other similar showing of strength wherever it happens in the world as pretty much the opposite. It's like, if I ran out into the street and yelled "I am a kind person and love everyone" I feel like at best people ought to think I'm crazy and at worst assume I am trying to hard and am not in fact kind at all.
IF you're a strong country, you don't have to stand up and wave your dick around to try and impress people.
There's that old thing about "Speak softly and carry a big stick." I feel like most people just never got what that meant... Show your strength when required, be prepared at all times, but shut your damn mouth bragging about shit the rest of the time.

Let us talk about the military history of both CHina and the usa instead shall we?
Im the 1700s and 1800s the CHinese military faced a bunch of embarrassing defeats at the hands of the britishand was forced to sign a bucnh of unfair treaties which pretty much nullified the CHinese miltary in its entirety until the KMT and CPC came into the scene (and it should be noted that China never once invaded britain or germany or france or austria hungary or russia....so what were those countries' militaries doing in CHina anyways?lol) From 1900-2000 China only participated in 3 wars WWII, after Japan invaded, the Korean War, after un , american, canadian, and british soldiers lied about not entering China and entered it anyways, and the 1979 war they had with Vietnam... thats it. From 2000-2025 China has not participated or initiated a single war. The only stain on China's record is that they gave weapons to pol pot during the Cambodian Genocide...thats it.
Meanwhile the american military played a huge part jn the NAtive American Wars and Genocides that happened from the 1700s onwards and of course didnt and will never pay any reparations Im the 1800s The american military participated in the SPanish AMerican war in a fight to see who would gain the right to extract resources from Cuba and the Phillippines wich america of course won . The american military STILL has bases in both of these countries despite both of these countries asking america to leave them the F alone. And of course the usa did not pay any reparations for this. The american military invaded HAwaii , even though the Hawaiians never asked them for help, and of course havent paid reparatiins for their invasion or occupatiom of Hawaii. The usa also needlessly invaded Mexico during the Mexican american war to fight over who wouod have the rights to California and Texas andthe usa even occupied Veracruz and Mexico City for a while. The Mexicans there never asked the american military for any sort of intervention so.... The americans initiated the war of 1812 thinking that they had any chance winning , which they didnt and they had their white house burned doen by a bjnch of canadians which I find to be funny. Lol how do you fumble so badly that you let canadians burn down your main political building in your main political city?Bruh. Thr usa needlessly intervened in the Boxer Rebellion, which was simply a justifiable rebellion where the CHinese wanted more rights from the unfair treatment they had received from european and north american peoples . And of course the usa hasnt paid reparations for any of these things In the 1900sThe american military occupied Haiti from 1919-1934, even though the HAitians never asked them for any help, and even stole gold from the HAitians too sinmply cause they 'wanted to establish a defensive presence in the West Indies'.The americsn military meedlessly sent soldiers to participate and laughably lose against thhe Soviet soldiers in the Russian civil war simply to protect the interests and resources that other european countries like uk , germany, and france had initially stole and wanted back from the Russian people. The american military needlessly initaited the Philippine American war after the Filippino people simply asked for more rights. The american miltiary occupied the Domjnican Republjc, Panama and Chile even though the people there didnt ask for their help The american military created nato in 1949 and the first director of nato literally said word for word thhat: 'The entire point of this treaty is to keep the americsns in, keep the germans down, and to keep the Russian out' even though the Soviets wanted to keep peaceful terms with the rest of europe. THe american military aided the south korean dictator of singman rhee to initate the Korean War and even sent troops all tue way up inside China in this mindless greedy land grab. The americsn military helped the Cambodian genocide to occur after the emperor of Cambodia asked for an intervention in Vietnam . The american military initiated the Vietnam War even though the Vietnamese people kept on asking for no foreign interventions from anyone especially the french. The american military helped in needless coups or interventions for Iran, Guatemala, Chile, Cuba , Grenada , and so many more places. And of course the american military has not paid reparations for any of this. In the 2000s the usa used 9/11 as an excuse to launch 'ThE wAr On TeRrOr' which did nothing but genocide and terrorize people in the middle East, Philippines, Afghanistan (in which they got their asses kicked by the Taliban of all groups loool) North Africa , Kyrgyzstan, PAkistan, and the Carribbean. And when governments have asked the american military to intervene , AS THEY SHOULD BE IN THE UKRAINE, ....they dont. Its been shown that the usa is STILL giving weapons and aid to 70% of the planets' dictatorial governments and the usa has placed sanctions on 60% of all low-income governments as I type this. And of course the american military have not paid reparations for any of these needless interventions or the civilians killed in them.
