When I was a child, the early years from birth up until around 9, 10, or 11 were the years I was able to experience true happiness, (not that I was happy all the time, but it was the last time I was able to experience it.)

Same, i was truly happy up until i was 12 years or so, then the problems came with high school (bullying, social isolation). Videogames became my refuge, and although i love them, i believe i was self medicating and escaping from social situations. Everyday whenever i got to bed, i would feel bad for spending a day without any socializing.Last edited:

Yeah I understand, I was bullied even before that but it never really hit until the kids got really bad (around middle school)I was enrolled in university, had friends that made me laugh every day and I was getting top marks in all my modules.
A bad relationship. Oh and you're active now.

Maybe five or six years ago, after I had learned I did well on college exams, after work, when I was driving home from the grocery store with food where I knew my dog was waiting for me, and one of my favorite songs was playing on the radio. Ironically the song's name is "Waiting for the End".

True happiness was in my childhood but chemically induced it was a couple of years ago with MDMA in the company of my little brother, childhood friend and a friend from my teenage years. But again true happiness you would have to go back to my childhood.

Once in 2009 and another in 2013 i guess ... A few days max each time. True sadness on the other hand i get daily ... Free of charge!

What is this "happiness" that you speak of?
But seriously, I'm a Canadian, so it was probably in November 2015 when the liberal party won the federal election with the promise of legalizing marijuana, and unlike the conservatives, they weren't mostly opposed to the idea of legalizing physician assisted suicide for the terminally ill or anyone suffering from a chronic condition that causes intolerable physical or psychological pain.
Before that, it was probably before I was 11 or 12 years old. That was when I reached the age of reason, and I started to lose my faith in one of the many Christian interpretations of god. The god delusion was like the ultimate drug in a horrible world. It was like a mother or father in the sky that was always there to protect you and make you feel safe.Last edited:Honestly? Never. I think in the early 2000's. Back then I was in college, playing basketball and felt like I was making something out of my life. Then I dropped out, got sick, became mentally ill, racked up massive debt and had two marriages fall apart. Louis Armstrong was taking the piss with that wonderful world stuff, I tell you what.
