Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Disclaimer- not really joking about suicide.

I have 2 friends who know I recently tried to CTB and they have handled it in a great way that as helped me, they have joked about it and not had a go at me. That as helped me open up and one of them said, the reason she lives in a top floor flat is when she's had enough that's her way out. I was pretty shocked by it as she's the most sensible person you'd come across. The other one found some rope in my stock room and said don't go using that and I said no way it would make the ceiling collapse.
I think instead of everyone being cloak and dagger about it, it should be talked about. I also think schools need to talk about it too.

Depends on the personality. I use(d) humour a lot as a coping mechanism, regardless of whether I was actually funny or not. Gallows Humour is a well known thing, you are either going to laugh or cry at the prospect of death. To be honest comedy and stand-up comedians are able to share certain topics in a way that makes taboo subjects a bit more accessible than just reading statistics and statements. But as I said, its horses for courses, some will be shocked at thinking such things with humour and others won't. perhaps its more prevalent in different countries/cultures. I know us Brits don't have a problem with Gallows Humour but I have had personal experience when working abroad that not everyone gets it and assume the worse about what you may have been trying to joke about. This is a global forum so I am sure there would be a few interesting and informative opinions on this subject.
