This is me too.I'm mostly housebound and frequently bedridden. What makes summer particularly difficult is this feeling that others are going out, enjoying the sun and warmth, socialising and making plans with loved ones while I'm stuck indoors, alone and in pain. This is difficult all year round but the isolation and sense of rotting away are especially pronounced during summer (and also at Christmas), times that are usually spent surrounded by family and friends. It drives the point home that I'm not living my life, merely emptily existing day after day.
