• Hey Guest,

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I'm having a look at Amazon for a rope since I'm thinking of going through with it soon by hanging, however I'm not sure which mm size to get and a thick rope or not.

almost any rope which you can test them just by buying putting them on your neck to make sure they cut off the arteries. Now get something that actually feels nice dont get the typical one or something that supports 10k pounds. meet these requirments in short: 1 holds your weight and more. 2 Feels nice/comfy on your neck not itchy or cutting into your skin. 3 Depending how your hanging (i would suggest partial) just be sure its doing the job you need it to. so partial might not need the same rope as full.

Generally 10-12mm is recommended. The smaller diameter the better it compresses vessels, but it's also more painful. You'll want something that can hold many times more than your weight depending on your method. I've seen people become fully suspended even during partial, so I wouldn't skimp out.

I would definitely try to find something that would make the experience as comfy (so to speak) as possible. You don't want a rope that's going to be itchy or scratching you or cutting into you.
