what would you recommend doing before committing suicide?

i am planning to ctb pretty soon but i want to make sure i have everything in order. what should i do? i have briefly discussed my funeral and my death with a close friend, but not enough to raise suspicions and i plan to write suicide notes. should i write notes to my close friends and family or just one to my best friend? is there anything else i should do like giving stuff away or anything else to do to get things in order to make sure my death goes smoothly for me and those around me?

Personally I would write a note, I'm not sure if it helps friends/family grieve but I would write one anyway.
Giving stuff away before suicide is tricky because if it fails, then your back in the same place without your possessions.
I hope your plan works out in your favour

i have also been throwing away/deleting anything i wouldn't want my family to find when going through my phone after i die. i still feel like something's missing though

I would write a note and maybe organize/tidy up my space so that family doesn't have to do it

Where I live having a will is considered a good thing for those left behind. I should probably do one, but it seems like a hassle and it would probably be another flag that things are not going well for me.

I hate it when people find out things about me that I don't want them to, so what I'll do personally is to delete everything in my phone and computer and probably throw out some stuffs as well. I think some things are better kept a mystery....

When I've tried before I've done a few things before.

Tidied my house.
Thrown unnecessary junk away
Shredded all documents and writing/diaries I don't want others to see.
Got rid of what I've tried with... So my family wouldn't have to face seeing it.
Left notes- one for my family and one for the emergency services to apologise for what they've had to see (I know that is of zero help to them, but it's all I can do).
Made sure my door was unlocked so it wouldn't have to be broken in.

Evidently I failed, but I'd do the same again. I'm not worried about giving stuff away or selling anything since it'd all go to my family anyway and I'm fine with that.
