Method what would it feel like if I committed suicide by stabbing myself in the neck

while most people like you would typically not be able to stab yourself to death because of your mind preventing you from doing so I have severe brain damage so the part of my brain responsible for that is destroyed so I would have no issue with that but I can still feel pain and other things, therefore I wanted to ask what's it like to die from stab wounds to the neck

I imagine very uncomfortable. When I was in the psych unit one time I was there with someone who lived through it. They had a really big scar on their neck. I don't remember if they said much about it tho.

I am not some stupid random that wants to kill themselves over some break up or abuse as I consider that stupid, I don't want to die because I'm obsessed with immortality but the fact I live in a temporary life and also have brain damage which puts me at risk of a stroke and aneurysm is not very good, considering it's pretty severe brain damage I developed an obsession with suicide by stabbing oneself in the neck, mass shootings, spree shootings, school shootings, mass stabbings, arson, animal abuse, drinking blood and inhaling brick dust, in other words I'm insane so I'm one of the exceptional people who could commit suicide by stabbing without issue

In the end, I chose the method of complete hanging, but my obsessive thoughts want me to cut my throat or stab myself with a knife. I asked a similar question, but any method that involves stabbing and cutting is considered terrible or ineffective. While in the pre-trial detention center, I saw one case where a person decided to go this route, the reason was 10 years of imprisonment, death came after 20 minutes without a sound. My thoughts always go to planning and strange beliefs, so I had to look up information about this method, if you do everything anatomically correct and pierce the jugular veins or artery in the neck, this method is quite effective.

And i'd imagine that it's painful, you have a lot of important stuff in your neck and very sensitive nerve endings.

never said it's cool but all I think about and want is immortality, I could go in circles in my room for hours without drinking or sleeping just repeating the words "IMMORTALITY", all I want is immortality for as long as I can remember, I'm obsessed with it and the idea of people killing him themselves over anything that's temporary (e.g. school bullying, abuse) or not affecting them (e.g. family member dying) looks stupid to me because all of my thoughts are filled with nothing but wanting to be immortal and I think it's stupid to kill oneself for something that's not related to immortality

It can work. You'd need a sharp tipped blade, some medical information, and a big lack of SI. The only thing in your neck that, when hit, has a 100% chance of killing you is the carotid artery, from blood loss. However, if you think of your neck as an electrical wire, the artery is just one component of it. There are many other things in your neck that you presumably don't want to hit, as hitting them can cause paralysis and require extensive surgery to fix (you won't die from hitting them, probably). The carotid artery is buried around 1.5 cm deep and is covered at various angles by many other important parts of your neck. Unless if you aim to completely sever your neck from your body, any non-educated attempt can lead to disastrous consequences.

If it misses, it can cause paralysis, inability to speak (permanently), and unbearable pain. You'll be institutionalised and it will be near impossible for you to ever come into contact with anything that can cause you harm. That is all assuming you can actually stab yourself, and that you are able to embed that knife deep enough to reach the depth of the artery (It is quite difficult).

It is important to also realise that there are many other parts of the neck you risk harming. Such as the spinal cord, and many veins. As someone who has operated on the neck, I would advise you to avoid undertaking such a risky action unless you have a back-up method. Extreme pain and loss of certain bodily functions, to some degree, is almost certain.
