One of the traumatic things for me was getting jumped by five guys and beaten horribly. I don't have much memory of it, but it still affects me, and it gets worse with each episode of PTSD flashbacks. It has all but crippled my life and now I don't have much left.

it isn't one concrete event. rather the way i perceive things. simple actions that would make a normal person moderately upset make me spiral (yelling, confrontation). i would have to say the most impactful was when my mother found out i wasn't a virgin at 16 and told me she would accuse my ex of rape. she was gone for an hour afterwards and i thought she had confronted him at his house. left me curled in a ball wondering how i will survive the social harassment after ruining his life. it ended up being an empty threat. several instances of this bullshit growing up. turned me into a self conscious coward
