Including living beings too. I imagine pets and plants make people happy.
Those pinwheel toys make me momentarily happy. Especially the ones with multiple wheels on.
I suppose it reminds me of briefly happy moments in childhood. I'm not sure I ever owned a multiple wheel one but, I know I wanted one. It seems so funny really because, they don't exactly have much purpose. I was always drawn to stuff like that though- glow sticks and the like.
I remember my Nana bought me a plastic ball once with flecks of colour over it. I still see them now and then. I think it even had a nice smell to it. It makes me briefly happy even to see shops that sell stuff like that. Junk really I suppose but, I suppose it transports me back to that time of being treated to a toy. I suppose I should be glad to have some good memories. I know some people have none.
Maybe any toy I had though. I sometimes go looking online for pictures of vintage toys to see if I can find reminders of them.
Are your favourite objects more from childhood or, now? A friend was saying the other day though- how different anime and film felt to them when they were younger. I was the same with games to an extent. They were more exciting purchases back then. I suppose I'm fortunate enough to still find some games immersive though. I think that's their appeal.
