I struggle a lot with acceptance since I got my diagnosis.
It's just, schizophrenia's a label that describes me perfectly, and I love it, but at the same time, I have this brainworm that it was a misdiagnosis and the doctors made some sort of mistake. I just can't shake the feeling, and it's really annoying.

Me on the contrary it took me a while to realize the doctors might be right. As the months passed with the medication I realized I wasn't having as many tactile hallucinations or ideas of me communicating with spirits.

Didn't vote as the therapist/psychiatrist didn't officialize the diagnosis but they did say I likely have some form of schizophrenia or bipolar.

I don't want a diagnosis of anything so I ran out after leaving a bunch of lies in their lap to cover my tracks.

They called it "disturbo ansioso depressivo", so depression and anxiety.
Haven't been diagnosed with c-ptsd but I'm 100% sure of having that aswell unfortunately.
Fuck me I guess

I haven't received any diagnosis because I've never seen a psychiatrist (and I don't intend to), but I have behaviors and issues that are categorized as symptoms of depression and maybe too of OCD (which are the worst, btw).

Surprised SUD isn't more common. I'm an alcoholic. After I blew up my life from a relapse, that's when I was at my lowest and attempted. Haven't drank in over 2 weeks so I have that going for me šŸ™ƒ I may still be picking up the pieces of my life, but I'm glad I didn't succeed because I'm feeling more like myself again.

Yes seriously till I hit bottom in 2020 an undiagnosed ED (i say undiagnosed cuz I didnt want to see a doc I thought I was ok fr) ofc for those is diagnosed is horrible.

I told my psychiatrist she thinks was an ED (ofc those feelings of food never go away)

Not diagnosed either but trichotillomania....I pulled my hair under stress- ummm yeah is super embarrassing- šŸ˜“

No Im not trying to self diagnosed-
Sorry if its sounds like that.

Formally diagnosed with CPTSD, General anxiety and major recurring depression. Had the last two since I was a kid but CPTSD was only clinically recognized in 2020.

Any wonder why I'm determined to get out of this life, with my brain being locked into misery since 11...

I was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia after my second psychosis. I'm not entirely sure why I ended up psychotic twice, but my experiences were sharpely bounded so I feel absolutely normal right now, but I'm a paranoid schizophrenic. Yeah accepting it isn't easy.

Can you make the answers private? (I mean, like I don't know if you can). You might get more answers if they weren't visible. I mean this is probably the safest place and last place people would feel judged, and I personally don't mind but just saying

I only had to have one episode and that was it.

I carry with me everyday the burden of an ailment that I can't share with everyone and can't shake it off.

Diagnosed with depression for years! BPD was a fairly recent diagnosis having been diagnosed with it when I was around 19 or so (that period of time in my life's really foggy for me admittedly), but PTSD and GAD were diagnosed when I was in high school

And these are ONLY the ones I have diagnosed!
