maidcore, japanese psychadelic/noise rock, visual kei, broken transmissions
love les ralizes denudes
most of the music i listen to is 'niche' in terms of popularity, but the nichest thing i adore is electroacoustic improvisation (or EAI for short).

i believe oren ambarchi has some electro acoustic stuff, i like him quite a bit

Unsure if any of these count as niche, but drift phonk, breakcore, city pop, synthwave, and maidcore would be on my list.

Can't really think of much right now but I guess avant-folk is fairly niche. Natural Snow Buildings, Caroliner Rainbow, Big Blood, etc. https://rateyourmusic.com/genre/avant-folk/ Would like to check out more field recordings, modern classical, tape music, etc...

Utattemita (歌ってみた), or essentially, human covers of Vocaloid songs. As much as I adore the original vocal synths, there's just something more impactful about the sound of a human voice.

Here's a song I often listened to, in the darkest depths of my depression.

i think itd be mashups, old school nola, and jersey club... but only twerknation28 on a blue moon, i dont recommend it either i just got used to it when i was going to raves in and near jersey, personally i cant consider the electronic, alternative, or even experimental noise stuff i listen to to be all that niche.

heres one of my favorite mashups

plunderphonics is sooo underrated. it's so much fun seeing a little squad of songs get Frankensteined into something that sounds unique, but still good.

I am a huge fan of DSBM, I have yet to find another person who finds it as comforting as I do. It seems to be the second biggest black sheep in black metal, even black metal fans I know don't like it, because of the dreary and lethargic mood and atmosphere of the music.

If you can recognize my profile picture, you might have an amazing taste in music.

I'm not sure if it counts but Minecraft parodies give me a strong sense of nostalgia.

I enjoy lowercase and outsider music every once in a while

I thought this discussion might enjoy this music genre site or maybe it best suited for the Music Megathread I'm not sure
