I realise now that life is just an illusion. Nothing really matters that much. Money, achievements etc are all forgotten or lost. Just try to pass the time.

As cheesy as it may sound i think human life is measured by personal growth achievements. Meaning how they can grow as from overcoming their personality limitations and flaws like arrogance, stinginess, temperament aggressiveness etc.. i think human worth is measured by aspiring for noble virtues

hey ive often wondered about these virtues and flaws. for example:

arrogance is frowned upon, but should a person not be proud, or understand her superior status if such existed? isnt the opposite also a sin? isnt it very hard to find balance?

stinginess is frowned upon, but wanton spending could have far more devastating consequences.

violence is frowned upon, but isnt it the only catalyst for change. and isnt passivity also terrible?

etc etc.

there was a time when i really wanted to be a noble person. but now i think that noble is very circumstantial...

Balance is everything but the state of the current world is that it endorses the opposite of noble traits. To bring the balance back again there needs to be a flow in the direction of noble traits and not their opposits so to restore equanimity

Another factor could possibly be health. I see physical health as very valuable and once that has been taken away from you, there isn't much left.
I see humans as having no worth personally, as our lives are just temporary and we are waiting around to die. Things that seem important now eventually will not matter as we will all be forgotten.

I think you are worth what others think you are worth. Diamonds for example, they are super expensive because many people think they gotta be of worth because they are rare. But to me diamons are just carbon, they are worthless. What counts is the mean value of all opinions. If most people think you are worthless, then I have bad news for you.

this is a very interesting point of view. a consensus of worth. it reminds me of a definition of TRUTH:

I'm not of the religious type, but this point came to light for me from a song from the movie Prince of Egypt. Something about... "gold is worth less in a desert than a cool spring of water".
