Last movie I finished was wristcutters. It was really cute. I saw it posted here I think.

I recently started Westworld which is a fun watch for layered meaning. I might watch Euphoria because I think Zendaya's acting is really good and I'm paying for hbo anyway.

I got through 4 seasons of Westworld but struggled to make sense of the 4th as it was in a totally different setting than the previous 3
Just watched 65 this afternoon, it was ok and the dinosaur effects were a refreshing change to the usual formula like Jurassic park etc, it undoubtedly would have looked better on the big screen but still 7/10

Enjoyed watching Eraserhead much more than I expected to. It's such an intentionally painful and dull watching experience that it loops all the way around to being good.

I encourage you to check out more of Lynch's filmography if you haven't already. Mulholland Drive and Inland Empire are absolute masterpieces in my opinion.

The most recent movies I've watched were the Barbie movie and Oppenheimer since I watched them consecutively to get the full Barbenheimer experience.

Barbie left me laughing, Oppenheimer left me having a depressing philosophical moment.

I finished watching Pascal Laugier's Martyrs today and am conpletely blown away by the sheer beauty and intensity of this movie. It's not suprising that the name has popped up a couple times before in this thread; a film that tackles suffering in such a realistic and unconpromising manner is, despite the vastness of the horror genre, a rare treasure, and for the least fortunate among us probably the only film with the ability to make them feel seen and valided.
