I think it really depends on your general tolerance. Like, if you're a lightweight and never drink, a few shots of vodka should do it, but you also probably don't wanna overshoot and become too drunk since that would affect your fine motor skills and might just make you sick. Maybe try how a few shots make you feel first - everyone has a different tolerance, so only you can find the sweet spot where you're buzzed just enough but not to the point of being too drunk to... well, to do whatever you need to do.
