Ask yourself: Are you evil? If not and you can honestly sleep at night with a good conscience, then what are you honestly afraid of? It's natural to always be afraid of the so-called "unknown", but it doesn't make sense to be afraid if your hands are clean. That's what it really comes down to.

The people that run this world are psychopaths who commit horrific crimes that goes beyond our imagination yet everything goes their way and by the looks of it, it doesn't seem like they have to pay for their evil doings. Smh. I know we all have different beliefs, but clearly the ruler of this world and its workers are not on good people's side, so if these fuckers are allowed to run amok and create havoc on this earth, then I don't see why decent/good people should have anything to worry about.

If god or whatever wanted to condemn me for just wanting peace, then god rightly fuck himself/herself/itself( whatever it is)! I really don't care. If there is a god that wants to punish good people for deciding to leave an evil planet in search for peace, then is that god really for us? NO! That wouldn't make any sense.

If God exists( let's call it an IT, lol) it is evil! Why? Because it is sadistic and loves to just watch its children suffer. WTF. Some people are fearful of god in case it might exist, but IDGAF, I have a bone to pick with god and have a vendetta against god. In fact, I want to fight god! What can god to do to me? Erase my entire existence? Please, I beg, do it! I'm not scared of god or anyone else.

The right to leave is rightfully ours and no one else has a say in it! You have free will and as long as you're not harming others, you can do whatever you want.

There are those who believe that the "evil" people you speak of are part of the "game" so to speak. In other words they aren't evil in the sense most would think. Its more like they are playing their part in the grand scheme. The created world is an universe(s) of duality, or opposing forces. Good, evil, light, dark, day, night, love, hate. Every pattern and its opposite pattern. One cannot exist without the other. What is good and what is evil? The more I ponder this question, the more I lean toward the thinking that those terms are mislabels and that we should think more along the lines of actions and consequences. And what if this is a simulation? What we experience is real to us. When you play a videogame, your avatar can be hurt and die, but we don't ever think twice about it because we "know" it isnt "real." That character is just a made up thing inside of a simulation created by a superior intelligence. How do we know there arent beings who look at us and our world in the same manner? In every game the player has an objective, and most times the players objective is noble ie save someone or get justice etc. But sometimes the players objective isnt noble, sometimes its destructive. Maybe this is our "game." Just me rambling somewhat incoherent thoughts.

I'm sure a lot of you think about this too but what if we ctb and it's even worse if there is an afterlife. I don't want to go through more suffering , I've already had enough more than I can take. I just want peace. Any thoughts ?

There is none.

God is dead. Has been, for like always, we were just too stupid to figure it out then.

It 's as easy as that.

Religion is the poison of stupidity.

And often just a bad excuse... I would not even consider it under normal circumstances, but given that your own suicide might a tremendous panic-situation for yourself.. maybe I'd had some desperate considerations about the possibility of an afterlife.

But there is none.
No Allah, no Jesus, no Buddha.
I thence ... reject the premise of your question. ;)

Death results in a (permanent) lack of consciousness. Anyone who's had a general anaesthetic can tell you what lack of consciousness feels like: it feels like nothing at all. I've had general anaesthetic four times in my life and, frankly it was awesome. You feel relaxed af, then super sleepy... then nothing at all.

So don't worry. When you're dead you won't feel anything and you won't miss your memories because 'you' won't exist.
Death is nothing to be scared of - all you need to be concerned with is the dying part. If you can make the transition painless and do it without fear then there's literally nothing that can hurt you, mentally or physically, ever again.

I don't believe there are any afterlife. We (the people here on earth) know NOTHING about what happens after death. If I told you we are a research project in another world, and when we die they let us live there, or if I told you everyone is going to heaven after they die. You can't prove I'm wrong. No one can.

BUT I know one thing, a lot of people seem to think they are so special and it has to be something more than just life. The truth is we are just animals, and one of the worst kind of animals. Let's just compare us to dogs, dogs are very kind (yes there are exceptions with aggressive dogs but it's because of their owners who destroys them) Even if there are anything bigger out there, it of course doesn't mean there is an afterlife for us.

You're right. Dying itself is the only scary part because you may end up surviving as a vegetable.

That's an interesting fact that you've been under anesthesia 4 times. What was it for?? Glad to know it was peaceful!

1. I had my tonsils out as a kid.
2&3. I broke my back coming off a motorbike so I had two GA for that - one to do a 'nerve test' [where they put you to sleep to cut you open and insert a metal tool to poke your spinal nerves at various points then they wake you up to see which vertebrae it hurts most - then they put you to sleep again] then one for the actual operation to insert new titanium discs.
4. Operation to remove haemorrhoids brought on by the previous operation and the morphine - which gives you super bad constipation.

Best sleeps I ever had. 10/10 would anaesthetise again :smiling:

Is there an afterlife (or a "before" life) and what is it like? More than 25 years of research by Dr. Michael Newton with over 7,000 of his clients answers those questions. The free e-book, "Journey of Souls: Case Studies of Life Between Lives"

I have spent countless upon countless hours studying this topic. From various religions to reading nde after nde to reading thoughts from various supposed mediums. I am no expert and this is all my opinion, but I am strongly convinced that there is life beyond physical death and that this is not all that there is. Someone would think that makes me feel more willing to ctb but it does not. Firstly all that reading is not equal to experiential knowledge. Also, if what I believe is true, there is no escape. Whatever issues we are running from in this life, we are eternal beings and we will learn the lessons we need to learn, one way or another. In this sense, this death will only delay that inevitably. I am currently considering trying to find a medium to attempt to receive extra-dimensional input on this topic. Maybe it will be worthwhile, maybe it won't. Yet, when I am in the throes of deep despair, how much weight can any of this hold?
I agree 100 per cent. I have had enough of this life, but so many possible incarnations could be worse

Nobody knows what is or is not. Anyone saying otherwise is trying to convince you so they can convince themselves, to get others on board to validate their CHOSEN position. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks sounds legit or their "analysis" has concluded. They don't KNOW. They are hypothesizing and declaring it as fact without all the actual facts.

Not knowing is terrifying and that's how a lot of people cope with it. I am envious in a way because it makes things less worrisome, but I am unable to ignore the reality that we just don't know. I don't trust anyone who says there IS or is NOT some unknowable thing because it shows me I cannot depend on them to be reasonable in other decisions as well. "I don't know" is so hard for so many.

The best any of us can legitimately do is hope for the best given our personal philosophies and experience.
I agree with you . Nobody can possibly know what really happens when we humans leave this world.

One of my biggest peeves is people who state things they cannot know as fact and fight you over it. I have my own beliefs about what is likely or not likely...but I don't know what the reality is. I understand the psychology...they want to feel they know something, have some control, some comfort. But It bothers me deeply when they can't just believe without needing to prove you wrong or fight you over it in order to bolster their own stance. And this goes for atheists as equally as spiritual people. Most people just will not say "I don't know" and rather shut someone else down to feel better.

If you ask me to tell you anything about the nature of what lies beyond the phaneron… my answer is "How should I know?"… I am not dismayed by ultimate mysteries… I can no more grasp what is behind such questions as my cat can understand what is behind the clatter I make while I type this paragraph. (Martin Gardner)

Somethings are just beyond our comprehension. Only way to find out what is after death for sure is to die.

I grew up Mormon. Mormons are really sure if you're rich and good looking you'll go to heaven. The way I see it. 99.999 percent of us wouldn't die if we could achieve just a few basic quality of life issues that nearly everyone else has. So since those are out of our control then so must be suicide. And if God punishes us for it then its obviously some pre ordained garbage we didn't choose anyways.

If hell is the firey pit you read about in the Bible, then I'd rather be there than here. That's how you know it's all bullshit. Because true hell is a state of mind, not a physical place

I'm not afraid of finding or not finding something afterward.

I do not believe in either a hell or heaven where you either suffer, or have true happiness eternally.

I except it to be like a black out. Just happens, you don't know or are aware.

In buddhism is it said that the very negative state mind required to commit suicide and the act of killing can create the conditions for a negative rebirth. It's not about a God dishing out punishment. Just cause and effect.

Is the hidden question here is something in lines of: should any assumptions about what may or may not await us in afterlife influence our decision intention to commit suicide in the first place? Because in this case I don't see how they should.
