Trying no drugs except caffeine at the moment. Considering taking psychiatric medications again. Recreational drugs generally help short term but make things worse long term. Lifestyle changes (sleep, diet, exercise, breathing, cold exposure, social connections, etc.) help to an extent. There's also nootropic drugs and supplements to consider too.

Venlafaxine, Wellbutrin and Gabapentin have been very helpful, along with regular exercise and a fairly good diet.

Are you taking those 3 at the same time?

I would say most drugs are generally bad for consistent long term use in isolation, that isn't exclusive to recreational/illegal drugs, that is to say I think drugs are more so tools that may help you feel better or cope better with your current situation and in so doing aid you in slowly incorporating the changes in your life that will actually help you long term. Drugs don't cure by themselves but if you can find something that works for you then that can help you to turn things for the better.

Micro-dosing on psilocybin (aka, magic mushrooms) seems to have helped a lot of people with anxiety, without being addictive like other things.

Completely agree, recreational drugs make things way better immediately but make things way worse overtime.
