Is anyone else terrified of the slim chance of waking up in your coffin? I want to be buried unclothed with the soil falling straight into my mouth. We dont unearth enough coffins to know how many have scratching on the inside.

I'm having everything green and I'll be carted on a hand bier to be buried in a forest. Probably will have some sort of funeral, I outlined a few song choices and such in a word document but probably nothing crazy. I just hope my friends and family respect my wishes.

i don't want a funeral, but i want to be buried. it sounds very silly but i have an extreme emotional connection to my stuffed animals and would like to be buried with them ^^

on second thought, i just remembered my paranoia of being buried alive so i think i'll just be cremated and perhaps have my ashes buried instead

Thank you and that's at least part of the reason I chose it, this way I avoid anything I would deem an unnecessary expense like a headstone or embalming. So, so expensive!

Great question. I will be cremated. I want my ashes to be spread in the desert close to where my little girl is buried. I see cremation as a freedom, I can visually see my ashes being tossed into the wind and flying free for the first time ever - sadly it's in death. It will be a true release. Burial to me is a constriction - to be put in a box into the ground. I need to be free.

If you're old enough, make out a will putting your specific wishes into it and find someone who you can trust to carry out your last wishes.

My wish would be to be cremated and having my ashes thrown in the woods, but cremation is illegal in my country for people that died from suicide. In which case, I want to be buried next to a tree, in a cemetery very close to the woods if possible. I haven't given a funeral much thought, but I feel like that would be too painful for my mother.

I want a direct cremation. Then maybe for my ashes to be turned into stones using a service called 'Parting Stone', and have someone fling the stones at the people that ruined my life and then say "I technically just assaulted you with a dead body".
