I'm trying to make sure it feels like falling asleep. That would be the perfect ending to me.

After reading many ndes and after own experience I believe that death is peacefull from lack of air. If that's the only "trauma".

Dieing from lack of air felt same than being drugged in hospital before surgery (maybe being high is close to it too? I haven't experienced that.)I felt relaxed, happy and good. Then I had amazing, indescribably good nde.

I noticed the lack of air but felt only euphoric from it. I didn't feel the need to get more air. I felt peacefull, relaxed and happy. That's why I died and was revived because the lack of air caused me to feel so fine that I didn't seek help at first. I felt little pain or more like discomfort from the trauma that caused the lack of air (close to the end the pain/discomfort was completely gone and I didn't care I couldn't move) and that's why I seeked help eventually and because I noticed something is wrong because I couldn't use my hands well and I was blue. I had blue skin, purple veins and reddish eyes. I thought I looked very funny. I think I felt more euphoric the less air I got. When I seeked help people were panicking around me. I thought that was odd since I felt great though I didn't care about other people anymore. I was peacefully slipping away from other people and this world. Then suddenly I felt I was out of my body and felt million times more love and happiness than possible in earth.

I think it'll be terrifying for me. I don't want to die, and it will be an OD. It will be painful, my heart and stomach will hurt. I'm sure I will scream. I'm sure I will regret it.

I'm sure I will regret living even more.

Why?

I think that one can't often know how it feels by looking at someone die. For example people who saw me dieing got traumatized and thought I suffered greatly. I put my hand to my throat and then I noticed I couldn't move my hands. So people thought I was suffering from suffocation even I had only euphoria. They would describe it with horror how I was blue/purple and was holding my throat trying to casp some air. Also I have read how people who have had nde from heroin overdose told they felt only euphoria and then nde but how people who got them to hospital said it seemed they suffered a lot.

Not sure of what one feels when you die. However, my recent experience last Saturday, was the challenge of overcoming the SI. I strained my larynx, trying the full suspension method. That instantaneous moment of choice, I "subconsciously, cowarded out." Even when taking 10 oxycodones to dampen any pain. It think that sense of suffocation is inherent with many of the hanging and "cutting artery methods." It probably ALSO happens with the med rout, it's just that using N or a powerful OD sedative will get you out in space. And apparently there is a powerful SI as one nears blackout.... shown by my broken belt, apparently when falling I struck my head on who knows what? And apparently I also strained my knee. EXCEPT I didn't know it at the time, since the oxycodone masked the instantaneous pain. Probably after the belt had broken (which I'm just surmising), I might have been struggling just to get up and .... being completely "disoriented and out in space for about 30 minutes." Apparently, I'd strained my larynx, even with a towel cushioned belt around my neck, the last thing I remembered doing the "full suspension" was hearing a "loud pop" at my throat. For a few days, I had a VERY hoarse voice. Still hurts after a week. Passing out via hanging is not for me.

I think once all the bullshit is aside and your mind really knows you are leaving, you will have a moment of complete clarity and peace. Like a desolving of your ego.

If one can't breath at all that causes always great panic. Like in drowning or hanging. Though those who have been revived after drowning have said it lasted just seconds and then they felt only complete bliss and euphoria.
But the panic would cause anyone to do anything to breath.
That method sounds really awful.

Everything in Peacefull Pill book are peacefull if done right. Euthanasia organisation members have been there while people have passed on with those methods. I think that methods that are used in human and animal euthanasia are most peacefull.
Nembutal, Morfine (or it's stronger analgesics like Fentanyl) and CO are used in animal euthanasia. Nembutal and morfine in humans also.

I think it would be a lot like when you are being put under for surgery. You're aware and then slip into a calm state and then suddenly nothing at all. You don't even realize it happened. Only difference is you never wake up.

I can't stop believing there is something after my nde's but I think that nothing (meaning there is no you, your soul, no life, no experience) and heavenly bliss are equally good.

I was expecting that sentence to end with 'a moment of sheer, mind-destroying terror'. :(

I plan to take N. so I'll probably just slip into a state of deep sleep. Of course, the difference with normal sleep is that I'll be fully conscious when I take the N. and it might take some time before it completely sedates me. This doesn't scare me all that much because I've learned to deal with Survival Instinct a long time ago. I expect to be calm and be able to give myself over.

I've had hundreds of grand mals (epileptic seizures) throughout the years. I know in advance (about half an hour before the attack) if one is going to come. It's like getting the flu instantly. I become shaky, sweaty, dizzy, nausea kicks in. After that it slowly builds. A terrific headache and light flashes in my eyes.

A couple of minutes before the attack, I feel my brain is trying to shut itself down. My eyes are being pulled upwards. I can't explain it any better. I used to really fight this feeling because I'm fully awake and I know what's going to happen. If I let go, my eyes will turn completely upwards and I lose consciousness. An average grand mal lasts a few minutes. After I wake up I'm totally clueless for half a minute or so. I don't know where I am or even who I am (this has been the cause of some nasty situations).

Throughout time I've learnt to give myself over. To let it come more naturally. When I am at home, I just lie down in the middle of the bed with my arms and legs spread out so I can't hit anything or really hurt myself. And then I just wait and try to think of absolutely nothing.

The last image I see before my mind goes missing for a few minutes is a green metal door with a fire warning on it. When I asked my neurologist, she told me most epilepsy patients see one particular random image, always the same one, before they pass out. Sometimes the image is easily recognizable. Sometimes it is not.

For years I've wondered about that door. I had no idea how it got into my head. Then one day I took a walk through my old neighbourhood and I came past my primary school. It turned out the door was the fire exit at the back of the school. I recognized it immediately. I have no idea why it made such an impression on me. The school has never even been on fire.

That could happen for a short while when drowning or hangin and for a long time with drug od with something else than strong opioids.
But everyone gets that bliss and peace before they die.

With some methods it seems peacefull all the way.

I know there is no specific reason for why I think that but I think I will leave this planet after I die. I hope I will be able to forget what happened to me here on this planet or else I will look back and be glad that I got out when I did.

I did my prep, drank the lot, sat down with my laptop and listened to my favourite playlist. No panic, no terror, no pain, no vomiting, just a very peaceful drift away to oblivion. The last memory I have is the Immigrant Song playing. I woke up a week later in ICU and dont remember anything else about it. Obviously I have been told the sequence of events, but thats all I have to go on. The sensation of complete peace is the one feeling that is prominent in my mind, but it is possible that is just a illusion my mind created as I died.

You will see the line in my signature, I have no fear of death anymore. Not because I will welcome it, it is just my own experience is telling me there is nothing to fear when the time comes.

With my preferred method (gun) I'll feel extreme pain, intense panic, massive confusion and tons of random sensations and "thoughts" all at once. Or at least that's my best guess. It's pretty scary, but pretty fatal too, so meh. With a nice "peaceful death"™ I imagine it would be like going to sleep and then you're gone.

Definitely "not comfy" because my Panic-survival instincts somehow tear thru a 1/4" leather belt (1' width). I guess that's why the videos I've seen, the young individuals are very disciplined in keeping their arms to their sides.

In the best case scenario, I will have a consciousness that will not be occupied with all the ruthless acts and ruthless attitudes that are so prevalent on the planet right now. I hope I can focus on good things after death.

It depends on how you die. I would say that if you are knocked unconscious immediately, then you would not feel much as you would not be conscious to experience pain or discomfort, it would be just like lights out, no feeling or perception of feeling in general. However, if you die over a period of time, you could feel the pain, discomfort (depending on the method) of losing conscious and/or other kinds of pain. For example, if one bleeds out and loses conscious over time, one can feel the life drifting away from oneself as they slowly lose conscious, as well as the pain of the wound (if no painkillers). So all in all, it just depends on the method.

Since I'm going down the SN route I'd probably feel a bit nauseous or dizzy and then pass out, but I'm going to be playing soothing music in the background so I'll probably go peacefully. Those few moments of slight discomfort don't mean anything.
