Discussion What caused your last attempt to fail?

Not being able to fucking jump I guess?
I just cant bring myself to do it when Im on a bridge that I k n o w is high enough to kill me.
All I can do is get really high and then puke, cut and hate myself.

The ReBreather failed because it doesn't cause hypoxia, it causes something like suffocation. And also, the seal on the mask leaks, but I could have worked with that.

When I was 14, I was about to attempt suicide for the second time by cutting all down my left wrist with a boxcutter, but before I could press down fully, and cut the artery, My mom came home 2 or 3 hours early for the second time. Unlucky as hell!

I was planning to take the necessary amount of aspirin, but I was an idiot, and drank coffee and ate beforehand, also, I took the pills with vodka, like in the movies, so I just threw up everything, veri smart

Definitely didn't take enough. It was back in 2016, and while I can't actively remember what I took, I know it was just an assortment of NSAIDs and antidepressants that didn't do much. At the time I didn't exactly know what would actively put me out, so I just took handfuls of pills and hoped it would do something. Not really lol. Just made me dizzy and got me 2 weeks of inpatient treatment, great load of help that did.
Survival instinct also had a hand in things. I'm sure if I'd gotten past it, I would have taken much, much more than I did.

I failed cuz i woke up in middle of full suspension hanging, because while convulsing my foot found edge of stairs and chose to push on it wich loosend the noose and made me regain concious in most terrible painfull way. So since i didnt remember what i was doing i automaticaly removed "thing thats choking me for unknown reason". Wish i didnt. Wish i rememberd that i was killing myself. Thinking of it now i think i would tank it if i remembered. Wish i went through

People, and poor planning. I ended up being found by a pair of hikers in what I thought was a secluded area/path not very traveled. I was attempting to OD on unison, combined with hypothermia, since it was a very cold November. I would have succeeded if I wasn't found for another hour or two, since my body temperature was dangerously low near the point of no return. :(

Failed to get my carotid artery whilst trying to hang and so just had my head feel like it was gunna explode.

Something that I've noticed is that it's surprisingly pretty hard to kill yourself and I just wanna hear what caused everybody's last attempt to fail. For be personally, it was a benadryl OD and I took around 120, however I guess it wasn't enough and instead of having a heart attack I was basically just trippin all day.

Diphenhydramine is nasty when used that way, I've tried that too, big mistake.
