I was originally gonna reply with bother when you mentioned Corey!! Haven't heard breaking Benjamin in ages!!

Let's see what you think of the more modern stuff :

Linking park - heavy
NF - let you down

Listened to Heavy a lot when my sister took her life, a couple months after my first love did the same, but honestly I prefer the older LP (like hybrid theory) over the newer songs.
Let You Down I played a lot after mom passed. I can't listen to it without breaking down, but its a good song. I like NF-mansions too.
Recently played:
Korn- twisted transistor
System of a down - Chop Suey
Metallica - Enter Sandman
Careless Whisper - Seether
And now...
Everything Changes - Staind

Like what, anything specific? A lot of people's ideas of what they consider black/death metal changes depending on who you ask.

Defo old LP is better, know most of the songs word for word ! But suppose Chester went through his own battles I suppose!

NF is a class artist! Sorry if it thought il bad memories ! Your music taste is pretty similar to mine although I switch to pop now and again, not afraid to admit to :

Selena Gomez : liar
Nero : promises

Never heard of Nero. But I listen to top hit stations that play mostly pop/hip hop too lol. I also like country, r&b, rap, etc. I just prefer rock/alt. The only genre I don't particularly care for is opera..

In This Moment - Blood
Through it All - From Ashes To New (if you haven't heard this one I definitely recommend it!! If you like LP and HU, you'll prob like it)

If you listen to top hit stations you will have heard of Nero ! Yeah same here probably because I drive a lot but when they start to repeat I hook the iPod up! May not look like it but I prefer rock / alt too, amount of gigs I've been to, sonisphere, Motörhead, shinedown, daughtry, machine head list goes on !!

I lll give them a listen open to most! Through it all already sound good !

Time for some classics :

BFMV - tears don't fall
Papa roach - lifeline

Stuff like this -

Honestly I've never heard of any of those, but I'm not opposed to them either. Some bands I have listened to that ppl usually define as black metal are:
Cannibal Corpse, Whitechapel, Slayer, Cradle of Filth, DevilDriver, As I Lay Dying, & Underoath... (But I don't listen to them often anymore).

That song has somehow stuck in my head despite the fact that I haven't listened to it in the last 3-4 years.

This is my current earworm (don't have anything playing but it's stuck in my head) so of course I must share!:

And my current earworm is this:

Yes, although I'm frequently anhedonic so I struggle with enjoying music.

I also have a neighbour that likes to play music until the early hours of the morning, even though he receives complaints from other neighbours, he carries on and insists on shouting and swearing his mouth off at them (the landlord or police do not seem to care about it either). I usually just put in my earphones and turn up something loud to somewhat block it out.

Here's some albums I have played recently that fall under black/death metal -

Xasthur - To Violate the Oblivious
Abyssic Hate - Suicidal Emotions
Beherit - Drawing Down the Moon
Verminous - Impious Sacrilege
Tomb Mold - Manor of Infinite Forms (if anyone plays Dark Souls and/or Bloodborne here this band is heavily influenced by them)

The guy who's in the room behind me plays good music when he's alone and shitty music when his friends show up. So half the time he'll be playing some pop music that I like, and the other half is shitty Bollywood music. There's good Bollywood music to be played, but he insists on the shitty songs. Oh well.

I absolutely love Xasthur and Beherit's music. I only listen to music when I'm drunk nowadays.

A cover of Call Out My Name. It's better than that other artist who I won't mention is actually technically his song, haha.
I love how soothing but also mystical/sexual it sounds.

Automata's soundtrack is pretty amazing. I'm partial towards 'The End of YoRHa' and 'Peaceful Sleep', but pretty much all of it is really good. The 8-bit versions are also a blast to listen to.

It really is amazing. I think I stayed in the room with the lunar tears for at least 10 minutes... those flowers combined with 'Kaine's Salvation' made that scene one of the most powerful in a video game for me. In fact, I'm using that scene as my wallpaper right now with Wallpaper Engine haha.
