Yeah, metal and jazz are probably polar opposites in terms of how they sound, but they're pretty similar in the core! Specially progressive metal

very true!! i hope you enjoy it! berlioz only has 6 or something pretty short songs out, but i've been listening to them non stop because the way they sample music is so elegant and pretty it puts me in a trance every time :')

Not really much of a jazz guy myself, but I love the vibes, feels so relaxing but makes you move at the same time...
Incredible to see how music can be amazing with a lot of different ways to experience it

i know right?! i love that it's not trying too hard to be "relaxing music", you can tell there's someone having lots of fun behind the beats :)

You could check another one of Dream Theater's hits, (my personal favorite) Panic Attack. I might have some bias here but I really relate to all the feelings that song expresses.

Not really the same thing, but Tool is also insane in prog metal, their song Schism is a masterpiece
