I think Wellbutrin will be my method of choice. If I do have seizures from an overdose they will be tonic clinic seizures and at least I'll be unconscious when I go through them. I know there's a lot of posts talking about how overdosing is not the best choice but I've done the research on Wellbutrin overdoses.

Unadvisable. While seizures can be had on somewhat low doses, that doesn't mean it's lethal. To be sure that the dose is fatal you would have to take a lot.

Also the study you have posted (I've only read the abstract so maybe I'm missing something) doesn't seem to be about overdosing on bupropion. They're talking about people who died with bupropion in their blood. The study doesn't seem to discrimintate between people who potentially OD'ed on burpoprion and people who maybe have a bupropion prescription and OD on something else.

Are other methods not accessible? Have you seriously explored other routes? This is extremely risky. My worst nightmare would be waking up with brain damage unable to finish the job. I understand that psych meds are accessible to a lot of us here on sasu for obvious reasons. I think this is why it's common for a lot of people to want to use them to overdose because you already have them and other routes require some resourcefulness. When it comes to your own death it is worth the effort to do it well. If you're willing to suffer through a Wellbutrin overdose (before you go unconscious you will suffer greatly) then you can easily handle other accessible more effective methods. You deserve a peaceful dignified exit.

I seriously ask you to reconsider, please. Do not recommend going out by a bupropion/Wellbutrin overdose at all, from personal experience.

My last suicide attempt was an overdose of bupropion and lithium when I was desperate, younger and had no access to any other methods. I believe I had a total of 11 grams of bupropion (150mg pills) and 22 grams of lithium. My plan was to die at the beach late at night in the next city and to ensure I didn't back out I stupidly had swallowed some of the pills on the way (public transport) to the beach. I don't remember anything after maybe 20 minutes of swallowing those first pills on the train I was on, I don't remember if I made it to the beach, nor being 'rescued' or the ambulance or even arriving to hospital and the first few days in hospital. I have no idea how many pills I even managed to swallow. I was told afterward that I was found by a stranger/passerby either after having collapsed or having a seizure close to the beach (not on it) and that they called an ambulance who took me to hospital.

From what I was told, I had a total of 4 seizures, cardiac arrhythmia, really vivid hallucinations which I do remember (of bugs both on my skin/arms and the walls), fatigue, inability to walk by myself unassisted for the first 2 days, and as mentioned total amnesia of the first days in hospital. I was kept in hospital for 4-5 days and the first few were in the ICU and then the general ward later. I had no permanent effects or injuries from it all, but apparently if I had not been found it may well have been fatal (had I taken all the pills too). It was not a good experience at all and definitely not a peaceful way to go. I seriously ask you to reconsider, it is not a peaceful method, will be painful and may not even be fatal but leave you with permanent brain damage from the seizures. I hope this helps and wish you the best :)
