Wow i already had a place in Scotland in mind

Not sure how long it would last renting a property where there would be frequent suicide & police attendance

Half our residents probably be over stressed suicidal cops and ambulance workers already

I actually used to work at place very similar to this it was obviously run by professional staff but the atmosphere was very relaxed and very different to a mental hospital. There were lots of activities you could take part in, we had movie nights, trips to the zoo, a regular weekend brunch prepared by one of "patients", everyone had their own room and you could come and go as you wanted.

Well, we'd all go in knowing that it is intended to be a safe place of understanding and mutual support for people in our position and state of mind.

We'd all have to take some time to talk and get to know each other beforehand and decide if we would be compatible and if we'd be able to live by some rules designed to ensure respect for everyone's boundaries, individualism and privacy.

We'd also have to find a place that's big enough. And that has enough bathrooms.

Yes, this would be risky on a few levels and we'd face challenges.

I'd like to think that most of the folks on SS are sensitive, perceptive people, which probably why they've been driven to SS in the first place.

This is all still in the, "What a nice thought" phase. Just a daydream right now.

A self-sufficient, recluse life would be nice.

It would be nice to be able to position ourselves where we could be reclusive when we need to be and have the option of having a small town nearby if anyone needed to get away or do something different once in a while.

I think we both click on this idea. Maybe one day. I also like idea of communes where people share and are self sufficient. Just seems simple in a world too complex
