I think the meda played a huge role in Trump's victory. The broadcasting channels in the US are horribly partisan and biased. CNN with their reporting about Trump led to his rise. They also got great ratings because of him Also during his presidency.
There are so many books about Trump. Liberal media is so obsessed by him. Bush was similar bad and now they say oh Bush was not that bad compared to Trump. They praise people like LIz Cheney despite the fact she voted in most cases for Trump's policy.
Moreover it was a stupid strategy of the Democratic party. They thought Trump was the easiest opponent to beat and fueled his success. They were so arrogant and had a huge hubris.
