I saw a post earlier about someone getting annoyed that a suicde hotline hung up on them and I just wanted to reiterate that WARM LINES EXIST and are more readily available than hotlines ime.
I used to work for Mental Health America as a warm line peer recovery specialist and I had a coworker who did an internship at the suicide hotline. She showed me their scripts. They are VERY strict about following scripts because of liability. It's literally a copy paste style "help" and that's why yall smarter folks aren't fallling for it.
I'd suggest Warm Lines - googles em and you'll find many in various databases. Call one outta state at 2am if you must - they are run by average folks so don't be too mean or whatever LOL
They will refer you to a hotline if you express suicidal ideations too much but overall they are just good average folks who have also been through some shit.
