Why hasn't anyone mentioned ingesting viscine eye drops as a method? It's widely available and it causes constriction of blood vessels in the body and is fatal if ingested. In fact, I found out about it through a sick article of a husband slowly poisioning his wife with it over a few years and she died from cardiac issues

but is it because of long exposure and slowly killing them?
i dont think there is any articles about it. and if its not there its likely a not nice method.
its aiming for less pain and effectiveness here. it might work but idk

im guessing because its more of a gradual death than an instant one. will SI let us go on poisoning ourselves long enough to reach fatality? i imagine this would be hard to pull off unless you live alone too.

I took 10 bottles at once, mixed with a cup of water. I puked about 30 minutes later. My guess is I should have spaced them out to avoid puking. After my experience, I firmly believe the people that passed were dosed gradually. It's got to be absorbed and my guess is the lethal dose depends on your health. There is little info around the web about this and since it's purpose is to constrict the flow, I don't think you can calculate the "lethal". I imagine if I would have exercised my body would have had a different reaction too, but I laid in bed waiting for death after I puked. I feel strongly it can work, just going to have to have more bottles, space it out, drink some booze and maybe do more activity to force my body to struggle. I didn't get medical attention and it's been a week, so who knows, maybe I gave myself a blood clot somewhere and there is still a chance.

I feel like you are right in the gradual part and it doesn't stay in your system but maybe 24-48 hours (from research I did). Feel like it needs to be heavy doses spaced within hours, might take a few days might take a few hours. It's at it's peak within 2 hours (from research I did) so it depends on how much, how often, activity, current health, and if it's combined with anything. It's damn near $7 a bottle, so it ain't cheap to pull it off.

It did not make me shit, puke yes, but only once. It made me lethargic, definitely wasn't begging for a button to press, only wish I wouldn't have taken it all at once. Didn't go to hospital, no one noticed. Drove a car 24 hours after. The worst part was the anxiety of the waiting for something happened and then being pissed I wasted money on 10 bottles for nothing.

Both of these people were in their 60s if I'm reading the right articles, which is quite a bit older than most people on this forum.

It'd be interesting to see the full contents of this article if anyone has academic access (gotta love every scientific paper ever being paywalled) to see more information on the dual suicide mentioned.

Another case, she's not young at all 32yr old

Joshua Lee Hunsucker, 35, of Mount Holly, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of his wife of eight years, 32-year-old Stacy Hunsucker. An investigation into her September 2018 death revealed that she was poisoned using a bottle of Visine eye drops.

Information from Nvisioncenters.com

Can It Kill You if Ingested?
Yes, Visine can kill you if you drink it. Tetrahydrozoline, the vasoconstrictor component of Visine, is processed differently through your system if taken by mouth than when placed in the eyes.

When taken by mouth, the medication is absorbed through your gastrointestinal tract and into your blood circulation, traveling to your heart and through your central nervous system much more easily. This can cause your heart rate, blood pressure, and body temperature to drop to dangerously low levels, which can lead to coma or death.

Even in small amounts, ingesting Visine can be toxic with life-threatening results.

I'm here to tell you that it didn't kill me! I would be happy to be a case study for you all. i'm 45 yrs old, take no meds, fairly healthy. took 10 bottles mixed with 1 cup of water, puked 30 minutes later. felt some sensations and mild side symptoms. In my case, I think dosing needs to be spaced out every 2 hours as it reaches peak levels in body at 2 hours.

If you watch what the medical examiner said there were other medical issues and other medicines that helped, but without the visine, they would have lived.

Because it is not a reliable/viable method. And because there's so much info here on viable methods. It's perfectly fine for those who are cool with waking up in the hospital/psych ward.

Gun, Hanging, Poison. Top 3 statistical methods. Not everyone can get a gun and not everyone can hang themselves. If they had a gun, not everyone can pull a trigger. Not everyone can jump from a building and not everyone can put themselves in front of a train. It's only not viable because no one has put the work in to make it viable. If someone can be murdered, someone can take their life with it. It's a matter of understanding what it does to your body, your health, and time and your ability to purchase the bottles. I haven't ended up in a psych ward or hospital yet!
