What are y'all's thoughts on Valentine's Day? Is anyone doing something? Going to ask someone or already have someone? What about the single people this year what are yall doing? Personally I've been single my 18 years of life and the only time I got close to a relationship I found out she was just using me even saying she "loved"me so I believed her we talked for months on end until she decided to have an orgy in the school bathroom . Ik it sounds like a insane story and it's hard to believe unless you were my friend 3 years ago going through that with me but yeah… ever since then just never desired a relationship or a valentine all this love bullshit hurts my head and it's just another thing to worry about at the end of the day. But for all of you longing for a relationship I wish you the best of luck on your journeys I know you can do it :)

Valentine's Day always just seemed like another day to me because ive always been single and too much of a shut in to form a relationship, but this year i have thought about it/learned about it more and just find it interesting seeing what others will do instead !! to me it's become a nice reminder that the world will continue to work as normal whether im gone or not. i think ill feel peaceful tomorrow at least for a little bit with that thought in mind. maybe ill listen to some love themed songs to experience something?

The woman I have a crush on said she might be free for Valentines Day but she has to do some labs for her class first. We both actually have that day off so that's neat too. This was also a subtle confirmation that she probably doesn't have a boyfriend because more likely than not if she had one she should have plans with him also otherwise she would have just told me so there's that.

If she's not free on Valentines Day I guess that's not as big a deal as I thought. I think I will spend the day with myself. Not for self love though, I'm going to practice self hate by taking myself to see the new godawful Madame Web movie.

But yeah I usually hate this wretched holiday because it's ten days before my birthday and always reminds me of how alone I am and always will be. Hopefully this year might be a bit different though.

Just a day like any other for me. I rarely feel alone. I feel let down all the time, but thankfully not lonely.

we sent each other the most sarcastic cards we could find. I brought him some beer and he got me bird feed and a bird table. I've found watching birds over the last few months fascinating.

I relate to this heavily. Making friends is so god damn hard already and when you throw relationships into the mix I just crumble. After a long while I just accepted it and learned to live in isolation.

I like valentine's day, usually. Ya I know hallmark holiday, show love all year, blah, blah. I like giving gifts and valentines day is always for goof ones like the weirdo cards for adults and stupid gifts like chia pets. My daughter always got something, usually a stuffed animal and candy, she still does. Wife is low-key so flowers and candy, maybe dinner but our schedules are wack and after 25 years of marriage sometimes you're just tired of work and bs and want to chill. I'm pretty grumbly normally and I think she likes that I'm not trying to be that way on purpose. I always got my mom stuff, usually a wise ass card and flowers but I'd sneak in some chocolates that she would deny wanting but would nibble with her tea. My childhood was like living with wolves, constantly barking and biting each other and we gave her a ton of crap she didn't deserve. As I got older it was more fun b/c it seemed so corny but hey it's my mom. I've had years where a break up just happened where she cheated and was like "sucks for you" so I've been there contemplating a .38 dinner.

As a kid in grade school we did the whole "everyone gets a card" and would make mailboxes and find cards for boys and girls. I doubt anyone thought they were meeting their 3rd grade true love but I can recall the kid who was "different" and probably had a shittier home life and the cards were a good ice breaker to at least have a new school friend, I had a few of those in my circle of school chums. In the Marines we got cards for peoiple just to mess with people and it was a good laugh for the day. Loud mouth jarheads getting candy in heart boxes or those "cho-cho-choose you" valentine cards with heart candies. It got a laugh from top and even the XO had a chuckle. Stupid but fun.

I still plan to ctb and maybe this year, so far 2024 is shitty, but I don't want other people to be miserable because of me so I'm one of those "life of the party" guys who ends it. I know it sucks for a lot of people.

I thought this was a suicide forum, not a dating site. I just want to permanently cease existing which is why I'm on here, I'd never want to be in a relationship and the thought of such is so repulsive, valentines day is a scam anyway.
