Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I have chronic, debilitating tinnitus that has destroyed my enjoyment in life, murdered my sleep, i become insomniac and dependent on sleeping pills, and the loud debilitating noise doesn't even wanna leave me even for 1 min.

So i told my husband that i can't take this anymore, i said to him i wanna do VAD in Switzerland, with such a heavy heart for him to decide, he agreed. He still hopes i will change my mind but he respects my decision and hope things will change but from people's experience who have chronic tinnitus and hyperacusis , if tinnitus doesn't disappear in 3 months, it will most likely be permanent. I love silence and I can't imagine living without silence for the rest of my life.

Now I'm thinking how should i tell my parents? Because their criteria is, they should be informed but no supporting letter or consent letter from them is needed.

It's so cruel and dreadful to me how there's all this extreme suffering and torture in existing, I hope you find the peace you search for.

How will you be approved for VAD? Isn't there strict medical requirements?

You must have a medical condition that causes you unbearable suffering that makes you feel your quality of life is derailed or destroyed.

It's a small company
They will accept Tinnitus? Good to know. What's the cost?

I think it costs at least $10k USD. at least.
I don't know how to tell my parents that i intend to do this 😩😔
that is going to be difficult for sure. Hopefully they will just understand. They will probably take a period of time to accept it but if you tell them how difficult it is for you to enjoy living and you no longer want to suffer hopefully they will accept it.

it makes it so difficult for people who don't have that type of money. I think they will even accept people with debilitating mental health issues too.
Not all the organizations, there are some that do not accept mental health issues.
Wow, not surprised.

That's my hope too, my parents are good parents, that's what makes it more difficult. Nobody wants this nasty illness. I respect them but also i've had enough of this slow torture, but at least through vad, it gives time to say a proper goodbye for me to them and vice versa.

They do accept, they know tinnitus is nasty and can lead people to suicide.
