UPS sent my N to the wrong address

Are you aware of the address? You could just go to the person's place and tell them it's your package and UPS sent it to the wrong address. They may be kind and give it you.
Ouch, yeah it's probably toast then. It's not an item that a company can send out a replacement for or anything. Very expensive situation caused by UPS.
In theory UPS should fix that. They've done that to me before, they sent a $25k server to the wrong end of the country. If you open a dispute with them, they should go and get it, and ship it to you, without charging you.
On the other hand, if the recipient opened it and found the N, it's probably better you don't go looking for it.

In the case of the server, I called my Dell sales rep when UPS told me they'd delivered it and there was no server delivered. They pointed me at the UPS customer service team, who found where they had actually delivered it after a couple of days of "investigation". I had it two days later, still sealed.
Again, if the recipient opened the box, you might get a visit from someone other than the UPS man, depending how controlled N is in your country, and how much the authorities care

Yeah, I know. But still, if there is a chance I'll get it back. In the worst case scenario they'll send me to a mental hospital for a few weeks. From what I've read people usually don't get jail time or big fines on importing drugs for personal use from the internet, especially if they're mental patients. I actually know someone who got arrested for importing drugs from the darkent but he was released after a few hours in the police station
