Venting ups might ruin my plans to ctb this weekend

my N was supposed to arrive today, but it's not here although ups says it delivered. now idk if the package was stolen, lost, or never delivered in the first place.

I'm hoping it'll randomly arrive tomorrow, but it doesn't seem likely based on what I've read about ups. now I'll probably have to order a second package which is even more suspicious considering they're only a few days apart, but I wasn't planning on sticking around that long in the first place (literally been ignoring all my school emails cause I don't plan on being alive long enough for them to be relevant).

now I have to stress about someone else finding it :(

praying to a god I don't believe in that a ups worker just marked it as delivered my mistake or being lazy and it'll still show up tomorrow. if it's not here by the evening I'll email D and order a second package

UPS fucks up and is late all the time. They also like to lie that they delivered your package when they didn't. Give it a couple days before you order more.

if it is not here by tuesday i am going to order a second and have it delivered to a ups pick up location so i don't have to worry about a delivery mistake again. hopefully i can pick up on saturday and ctb that night

yes, but when i called they said they had delivered it and i would have to file an official claim online. the claim needs information on the contents of the package and how much it's worth. it probably won't be a big deal and if they have it they might not open it, but i don't want anyone to get suspicious and cause issues for D or others trying to get N.

i figure the safest option is getting a second package delivered to a ups location for pick up

yeah it sucks :( i think seeing comments from others who were able to receive their package without issue made me feel more confident, but i've had issues with deliveries before so i should have expected something

i figure buying a second order is the safest option for everyone. i would hate to be the reason someone gets in trouble or make it harder for people to get N. i am an okay liar (my parents don't suspect anything) but idk if i could lie well to police. spending a little more money isn't an issue cause it's not like i can use it in death.

if the second package has delivery issues too, maybe i am just meant to suffer on earth

If I may suggest - once you get the tracking number, get on to ups and change delivery to pickup from ups store.

UPS always manages to fudge up one delivery or the other. So - for important items I always have them hold it for me

yes, I think that is the best plan. thankfully I am near the ups location and can pick it up pretty easily

for whatever reason, the ups location right by my house doesn't do pick ups I was planning on a long lunch break while no one was at home (I wfh and I can take lunch whenever I want) and bc I don't have a car, I'll probably try to walk an 2 hours to the next closest location and back this weekend when the house is (hopefully) empty and no one will ask questions

Once I had a package that said it was delivered not come, then 4 weeks later a neighbor called to say it turned up on her back porch. It was all very weird and I always wondered where it had been all that time as the neighbor said it just showed up that day and she had no reason to lie. No one had tried to open it either, though it wasn't anything important like N. Do you have nice neighbors that would tell you if it got misdelivered?

How frustrating that UPS royally messed that up! I hope you randomly receive it soon. If you are able to order again, that's fortunate, and the chances of it happening twice would be extremely slim.

If you want to make an online claim just msg D and ask what the stated contents were and the approx value.

I wouldn't worry about whoever received the package, they definitely will not feel inclined to drink any of the contents once they read the label.

I figured out what probably happened. they changed our street name between when I ordered the N and when it was supposed to be delivered. I'm glad that they changed the street name because I hated having to write down the name of that evil fuck, but I wish they'd given us an advanced warning I'm guessing it's at the bottom of some pile where it'll probably stay until it expires

That sucks! What's your plan now? Could you maybe ask your local delivery office for *any* post that may have been mis-delivered (i.e. say "I didn't realise until now that the address has changed - do you have have anything for me?"). This way you can always argue that you weren't specifically expecting anything.

Honestly, D is great so the only way they'd know what's in the bottles is if they ignored the labels and tested the liquid. I think another member even had a bottle opened and then still had it delivered so maybe they can't tell unless they specifically test for barbiturates.

yeah my plan is to check and ask if they can see in anything in their system about what might have happened, but I won't try to push it. I don't think they know about the full value of the package and if it was declared at $20 dollars I don't want to cause too much of an issue. if they can get the first package delivered, that would be great, but if not the 1 bottle should be enough for me (130 pound 23 yo girl)
