  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Ending the suffering

Not to surprising.. the UK ranks among the lowest countries in terms of human flourishing, which is defined as "living in a state where all aspects of a person's life are good." A research study conducted at Harvard University, which examined 22 different countries over several years, found that the UK consistently ranks near the bottom. Notably, younger individuals are facing significantly more challenges than older generations. While human flourishing is expected to improve with each generation, this trend does not seem to hold true in some countries. It feels almost sadistic for the UK to allow people to continue suffering while suppressing the right to make autonomous decisions about their own lives including the choice of suicide rather than addressing the deep societal problems that are causing the suffering in the first place.

Not surprised from seeing potential disability money not being given anymore, prices of things increasing, healthcare being terrible and unreliable, especially with mental health with therapies having super long waiting lists of 2+ years, all the trans problems and now uk doing more and more welfare checks and going after this site like suicide is a crime.

Someone get me out of here.

it's not surprising that the UK places so poorly in it, so now, they have to desperately keep people alive! Not well ofc but just alive~ :/ The UK police have always been dumb tho~ Maybe if they went after actual crimes instead of dumb stuff, they could make some people's lives better!
and regarding the other stuff, it seems pretty true~ :( The world is much worse for college-age kids now than before, and religion really helps people feel better~ :) It's pretty interesting that middle-level developing nations have more happiness than more modern nations tho! Probably because they have actual social communities~ >_<

This country is shit and everyone in here knows it yet I can't let go of it because it's culture is intertwined with my soul and I can't bring myself to go somewhere else as I'll always be homesick of the UK (unless it becomes a Nazi Germany situation where a trait of mine gets hunted down by the government, then obviously I'll go looking for the next best thing).

The suffering a lot of people have in this country with little or no help, you only have to come on here and you can see people from the UK are mentally struggling, in many cases all alone.

To everyone in the UK who reads this that is getting no help, I'm sorry our country failed you.
