Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Has anyone here with mental health issues as the main reason for their CTB decision been referred to/seen by the so called "specialists" at the Maudsley Hospital in London?

(For those unaware, it takes referrals (from GPs) for individuals with complex mental health problems, performs an assessment, then sends a report back to your GP for advanced treatment. They also negotiate any payment from your local county CCG.)

Anyway, after a 8 month wait for my referral to be "processed", I received my report, which was so shockingly wrong/unfit for purpose, that my shrink has asked my local county not to pay for the referral/appointments made, and demanded a formal apology.

I think my shrink knows I'll be CTB with the next week or so, and is considering legal action. I asked him, and he is currently refusing to section me.

Anyway, this might be one of my last few posts here. I'm done, this isn't salvageable/endurable.

If there is one thing I want people know when I'm gone, it's that just because the NHS is shockingly bad, and unfit for purpose, there are some staff who do genuinely care. Not gonna deny that there are some/many absolute assholes, or completely clueless staff, but I can honestly say I will miss some people I have met along the way.

For everyone struggling - all I can do is wish you the best, and hope you find peace in whatever way you need to.

I've very recently dealt with them but my experience was actually quite simple and pleasant. I say pleasant what I mean is no thrills no fuss.
I think the NHS (my opinion) is crap, I've lived in other countries where I thought their healthcare state was alot easier than ours.
But you're right in saying there are some staff who genuinely do care, I feel bad for them because they must get so much crap thrown at them everyday but they still get up in the morning and give the same care to us as they would have yesterday. I think it's very easy to forget that they feels parts of what we feels so it must be hard on them in the long run.
But then you have the other type of staff who's sole existence is to worsen your already crappy life so go figure.
I think with referrals you either get lucky or you don't, in my experience if the first person I meet is all crappy and has an attitude, im in for a long run, whereas most recently at maudsley my worker was a lady called Maria, who was fantastic, very kind, very attentive etc and so we were able to communicate effectively and things went a lot smoothly than what has been in the past.

I know this post was a long long time ago, but I'm waiting for my referral to the maudsley. I guess I shouldn't hold out much hope. I was hoping to try VNS or ketamine infusions. If you're still with us I hope you're in a better place and I wondered if you wanted to talk? X
