  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

Has anyone from Europe considered this? Are there places in Europe like Texas?
A question for Americans: In reality, how easy is it to get hold of a gun for ctb for average Joe without pesky background checks and all that?
What would be some of the logistical factors to look out for when traveling to the US for the purpose of ctb by handgun?
Thanks

"Texas has some of the loosest gun laws in the US and already allows rifles to be carried in public without a licence.
The new measure would allow anyone aged 21 or older to carry a handgun unless they have past criminal convictions or legal restrictions on them."

I would find it hard to believe you could just walk in and buy a gun!

They don't ask too many questions in a good few US. It used to be that you could buy as much ammunition as you wanted, no questions asked, but had to be a state resident to buy the weapon. That varies by state though.
In Europe I think Kosovo has looser gun laws than most other European countries.

You cannot just travel to the US as a tourist and buy a gun, in any state.

You can. But you won't be buying it through brick and mortar gun stores , you'll be buying it through gun show loophole or illegal back channels

Texas just made it easy for anyone to carry a handgun with no permit, no background check, and no training. Pure lunacy and completely disgusting.

Isn't it easier to do something in your own country that gives you a gun? Like practice a sport related to them or hunting.

Loosest gun laws are in Yemen. In the gun stores the purchase of automatic weapons and even grenade launchers is permitted. In the US all states must follow Federal rules for gun sales. That being said each state also has its own rules for guns and ammunition sales. Among the states with the most lax laws would be Montana. Texas contrary to legend does not have the least restrictive gun laws.
