(the N.Y. Times article does not say "died while on the job" but another article said " while on duty", but it's been censored because they don't want anyone knowing the details.)

The most they are saying is that it was after she was removed from her job after contracting the virus and she was staying with her family in VA, and the hospital did all they could for self-inflicted wounds. I don't think we should speculate any more than this, but simply wish her well and hope she's at peace now.

Yeah, there was another thread about this. Not much info has been released on her death - for the privacy and dignity of her loved ones. They simply go as far as saying her wounds were "self-inflicted".

I don't know.
Doctors are experiencing a huge pressure now. They cannot just surrender, they work no matter how they feel and give away themselves. It is not same as when your boss is shouting at you or you have a rude client, that's an utterly different level.

So sad for her that she felt like this was the only way out. I can't imagine the pressure she must have been under. RIP

This is just heartbreaking. As people have mentioned in various threads, covid-19 is taking many people, not just from the virus itself. I truly hope she's at peace.
