I disagree with this, how far does that logic go? Deciding whether the reason for someones choice is good enough is not ours to make. That's overstepping our bounds and playing god. All we really should do is observe and potentially wish them well. If they decide otherwise and ask for help, then you should intervene.

I understand what you are saying and I accept it.

No one is playing God here - everyone is free to decide what they do - we are just writing our personal opinions here.

If the person then gets different answers, he can think and weigh up different options.
